I get that magic find as it was implemented was a disaster. People were pulling seemingly non-stop yellows and many oranges when they stack MF.

Hardcore will always stack it and find a way to pull crazy amounts of good loot – this happens in every game that try a MF attribute. But if you nerf the base quality rate you hurt casual players.

But its unfair to nerf a class of items that people already own leaving the stats spot taken by a non functioning(or essentially non-functioning) attribute.

More fair solutions that I suggest are to either convert the MF prefix into something else on existing items or return it to its former functionality but but a cap on MF and explain to players how the cap works.

The point here is not to insult the devs.

This is just to point out that the current solution is unfair to players who either already own MF gear or who may buy some.

Maybe he is talking about the diminishing returns on loot?

MF isn’t nerfed, you’re just getting diminishing returns for farming too much in the same zone.
Simply change zone.

So they nerfed MF in addition to tossing in DR, eh? When did that happen?
