So i just noticed that necro is getting a new animation for her/his Axe#1 in this patch?!

Sorry I am too excited. I mean, really, s/he now sheathes the offhand while doing Axe#1 and the new swing feels very natural. Whoever made this, well done!

There was no change today. It looks the same (broken).
There was indeed a change today, in the Axe #1 skill for Necromancers. My account was affected by this change after the patch as well. Those of you who do not see a change, probably did not update your client.
Just patched, no change whatsoever. Still the same animation they changed it to from the previous patch, sadly

I didn’t even start my game until an hour ago when I checked my necro for this thread, and I had to download the patch to start up. So, yes, I did get the update, and no, the axe attack doesn’t look any different. It looks just how it’s looked for the past couple of weeks, since they broke the autoattack animation.
That is odd. Only a select few of us see this change, and it’s still an autoattack animation, for those of us who are affected by this change in animations, such as Ferik and I. He and I JUST received a change, in the animations, as of today’s patch. Would this be a bug? Because it’s not broken for Ferik and I. We see a new animation, whereas you guys see the old animation, from about two years ago.
Unless, I did not see the attack animations a couple weeks ago, which is likely the cause. I don’t use an axe on my Necromancer, so I bought a cheap axe from a vendor, and I noticed the animation was different today.

No, we see the broken animation from about two weeks ago. So yeah, like you said, you probably just didn’t notice before today when you got an axe for your necro. I miss the proper animation.
Hopefully they are working on changing it back or close to without the exploit. It’s just such a horrible animation now.

Hi all,
The animation of this ability has changed so that the attacks occur later in the skill, fixing the draw to constantly cancel the ability for an unintended increase in damage. The overall active time of the ability hasn’t moved (remains 1 second flat), so there shouldn’t be any actual loss of damage as long as you’re not cancelling the ability early. The first strike now occurs at ~0.5 seconds in (slightly past it), while the second attack occurs closer to the 1 second mark than before.
There is a bug with the attack hiding your weapon, which was unintended and will be fixed.

I didn’t realise there was a change til I hopped on my main for some PvP.
I miss the spinning around on the asura, though it did look odd while they were moving.
