Q:

Why are the old Consortium Harvesting Sickle, Chop-It-All Logging Axe and Molten Alliance Mining Pick soulbound yet the new versions are all account bound? I paid good money for the old ones as did some people for the new ones. It’s not fair to us.Fix it!

A:

You should be able to take them to an NPC (I think the BLTC Weapon Specialist?) to trade them for their account bound versions. I don’t think the tab will appear unless you have them in your inventory rather than equipped, though.

Alts-R-Us ~ All professions at 80 ~ Still leveling characters.
Main? What “main”? I play all of them sooner or later.

You can convert them to account bound at the appropriate NPC as has been the case since the account bound tools were introduced. I forget which NPC

I remember reading it somewhere at the time the account bound versions came out but it probably wasn’t in game. Probably here in the forums in fact.

In game, no. But there was a fair bit of communication about across patch notes/forums/main homepage if my memory serves me. It was last year so I can’t remember more specifics.
