The poor cant compete II.
Play the game, earn gold, buy bank slots / bags. Last I checked you didn’t need inventory space or bags to compete. Oh, here is a tip, clean out some of the stuff in your inventory you don’t need and make more coin with the added bonus of more open inventory slots. Bring you compete on!
You may not see it but I do, slowly being force to buy gems just to compete.

Compete against what? What do bank slots and inventory slots have to do with competing against what ever it is you are competing with? My bank slots are maxed and I have yet to see any extra skills or stat buffs from it.
Compete at… what… exactly?
maybe you can kill players with bank slots and inventory bags in the upcoming patches….
What do we get when we win this competition?
As much as I would like to, I haven’t been able to buy any gems with cash to support GW2. I have, however, been able to acquire many bank slots and character slots, unlimited gathering tools, costumes, and assorted other items from the gem shop. GW2 is great that way….you don’t need real money (after initial purchase) to play! =)

20 slot bag slam. Opponent goes down and gold coins make it rain because I’m so rich kitten!
you don’t need it, but you’ll probably want it.

Let’s hope you can compete with us other 20 bag slot players! Otherwise you’ll be forced to buy gem stones
Why can we not just have one big bag and one big bank? You crack jokes at me because it is true.
I love how this community can’t get anywhere because instead of addressing people’s personal introspective to the game’s weak points, we just make fun of them and call them bads and shun them with endless cynical hyperbole.
If yall would support complaint threads, perhaps everyone could benefit from any changes made instead of acting so kittening superior.
This ain’t MLG.
You don’t get a trophy.
peasants had no bread and who responded: “Let them eat brioche.”

If we all would support every complaint thread made then this game would turn into Forum Wars 2 and probably get better updates since browser based games are easier to maintain…… We better get back to being “serious” that’s how we play GW2 from now on folks!

I have no problem supporting legitimate complaints, actually.
This complaint, however… well… makes no sense. And this is actually the second thread in this vein. “The poor can’t compete.” At WHAT? What competition is he referring to?
The only translation I’ve been able to make so far is, “I don’t have the money to do what I want, so I should get it for free.”
And to that, my reply is, “No. Deal with it.”

But there is nothing to support about this complaint. The OP complains that they can’t compete because it costs gems for bank slots and bags cost gold. Would you care to support how this has anything to do with competing? Not to mention competing with what? Bag slot superiority?

Guild banks.
You can make a guild for free and buy the influence toasts to get a (50? been awhile) slot bank for around 10g.
Use it for everything you need to store and only use the normal bank for account bound stuff.
P.S. You can make multiple guilds to mule stuff into, much cheaper than wasting gold/cash on gems if all you need is space XD.
Remember the good days where buying bank slots would cost you in game money? And if you do not understand and would like me to pm you just say the word.

You can still buy bank slots with in game coin. Convert gold to gems > buy bank slot > stop trolling.

Bank slots CAN cost you just in game money, though. You don’t like how much in game money it costs. Frankly, that’s YOUR problem.
GW1 didn’t even give you that option. There was one you got as a gift, but every other panel beyond the default could only be bought with real cash.
Even in Guild Wars 1 they sold bank tabs. Lotro sells you bank tabs for each character, a different type of storage for universal access to all your characters and yet another tab to store your costumes. Almost every game without a fee charges for storage space, but almost none of them let you convert gems to gold.
So no, I don’t think the OP has a legitimate grievance.
I’ll just leave this here…

So people with small guilds can get influence. However, any reasonably sized guild has no trouble unlocking any of the updates you need to play the game. This just gives people who have less time a chance to get stuff too.
We had a guild of 50 people that unlocked everything pretty easily. Now we’re up to 150 people. We have a ton of influence and we’re maxed out on Guild merits.
I’m not really sure why people have a problem with this.

Actually I think KingClash was only putting that link in for Serv to check out so he can have his inventory space without resorting to paying cash… even though he really doesn’t even have to when using the gem store since there is a gold to gem conversion… but oh well.

Doh! I was in defense mode. lol
Sorry KingClash!
Hoo man. I sincerely hope he never plays Old Repbulic or Neverwinter. He’d poop his pants.
Due to the inflammatory tone in the replies and the opening post which leaves no room for a constructive discussion, this thread is closed.
