I have no clues how many weapons are now impossible to craft?
However Astralaria is now one of them, in particular this item Ley-Line Bezoar which you can only get by killing this guy, Legendary Chak Gerent, in a map where there are nearly no one playing anymore. I went there 10 to 15 times so far sometimes for a few hours only to waste my time and get my hopes up for nothing. Crafting should never be based on meta events that no one participates in anymore.

Problematic items such as this should be based at best on Legendary enemies that are not part of meta events. If that wasn’t bad enough this item is not only unobtainable wiki says it’s not even a guaranteed drop. Tell me should I start playing Russian Roulette now since it has a higher success ratio…?
Killing a Chak Gerent is required for many collections. Need I say more.
Legendary crafting on maps no one plays no more, who knew this was going to happen?

Anet if you don’t want the players to get Legendary stuff then please don’t create it.

I think they just need to put a big sign at the entrance to every HoT map explaining what LFG is and how to use it. But in the mean time, I’ll help you out:

The chak gerent occurs every 2 hours on the half hour. Check LFG 15-20 minutes before it begins to find a map that is organizing for the meta.

Why do you have to do it this way? At any given time there are multiple instances of the map running. If you just hang out for hours chances are pretty good that you won’t be lucky enough to be on a map that is organizing for the meta and it will appear to you that nobody ever does the meta even while it actually gets completed routinely – just not on the map instance you happen to be on.

Chak Gerent seems to running more regularly than normal on EU servers, but even then, the LFG advice above is what will guarantee you a decent map. It’s the same with most of the HoT maps. They seem empty, but that’s only because so many are full and the megaservers are putting you in emptier ones.
