The problem with this game!
Here we go again…
Pls stop posting in this thread so we can see it go…faaar away….
“We are now! We are forever!”
If so many people are complaining about this and quitting, why do you have to point it out to them?
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
You may be right. Although, I often read wall of texts from players who complain about lack of content, and when confronted with most new content added in the last 1-2 years, they state “Okay, that may be nice new content, but I don’t like it and I want new content that I can enjoy”.
They often say that jumping puzzles, WvW, fractals and co. (or the SAB, too) aren’t “real” content to get into and that they want different content.
So I’m not sure if there is really a lack of content or more of a mental state many players are in, saying that there’s a difference between added content they like and added content they don’t like. I guess there’s no right or wrong here, because it’s an individual thing to say “I’m happy with what I get” or “I’m unhappy with what I get” or “I get things, its secondary if I like it or not.”
Well OP, now you’ve done the complaining part I expect you to follow up with the rage-quit, we won’t take you seriously unless you do…
The problem with this game is that whilst Anet are doing their best to destroy it with needless changes and removing content, it remains far and away the best MMO I have ever played. To the degree that nothing else I play* can satisfy me anymore.
*except European Truck Simulator 2!
Is this about mounts or an expansion?
I’ve seen a good dozen, maybe two dozen complaint threads by people leaving in the last month. I’ve seen as many about people joining in the last month.
I can guarantee you more people leave WoW a month than leave Guild Wars 2 a month. Every game loses people. Stop trying to make it something it’s not.

You should read the first thread that I posted to on this forum.

I can speak for myself that I do everything in this game. PvE, PvP, WvW, Jumping Puzzles, Exploring… name it.
I do a lot of things in GW2 and I think there is a lot of lack in content. It’s not enough, because everything has been focused on living story now.
I think, instead of attacking the OP, we could turn this into a productive thread and discussion.
The pacing of new content releases and what is actually in those releases is an important topic.
Is ArenaNet putting out compelling content often enough to keep people engaged in game?
For many of us (myself included) the primary draw of the game is the communities we’ve built. My guild and my friends keep me logging in more than, say, doing dailies, dungeons, WvW or the newer zones do (even though I do enjoy many of those things).
So, I think the logical question is, what keeps you logging in? And, if it isnt gameplay, what are you looking for in the game that it isnt providing now (within reason)?
Personally, I think they are moving in the right direction with the updates weve gotten in the past 6 months, but they could definitely improve the pacing and diversity of content a little (maybe throw some 5-player content, guild missions or minigames into the mix). I am, however, also confident they will find their footing a little better in 2015 and give us more and more to do.
There is value in a thread like this one, if people respond with well thought out responses rather than emotion-driven criticism of the poster.

The kicker part is when a new patch comes out, we usually see them in-game again or complaining on the forums about something else.
Lately, I just skip these threads. The natives are restless because new content hasn’t come out in two weeks. That tells me people like the game a lot. And they need a new carrot to chase. Things will quiet down when the new patch comes.
Always does.

You’re new around here too, aren’t you?
If so many people are complaining about this and quitting, why do you have to point it out to them?
How many are quitting after coming back from posted then quitting then coming back and posting.
Just more worthless words from the same ppl over and over.
Guild : OBEY (The Legacy) I call it Obay , TLC (WvW) , UNIV (other)
Server : FA

I said I was quitting and… well I did my best.
Trouble is, all I do now is log in, maybe do daily or maybe not, and log back out again. I have quit active participation in the game.
i think we should have about two posts a week on the front page.
if the team managing content and guys who post content is small, then just make that team bigger.
where is the problem? keep it together.
gem store update every week. and separately new content… i suppose rushing content to every week is a bit too much. every month, is that it? every 2 weeks? every 3 weeks?
just make it a little faster.
advertise your game. with the main theme being anything thats latest coming from devs.
or is there not enough funding? even i can guess what might solve that.
please stop this farce. you can do better.

This thread may eventually go away, but I promise you, there will be another to take its place, until anet does something extraordinary.
Whether you agree or not, the number one complaint against this game is the lack of “playable content”.
First you say this, implying that your opinion is fact with a statement such as “the number one complaint”……..so, how do you know that? Besides the fraction of a percentage of the players that post here? What is your basis for that statement?
And then you say this in the very same post……….
I am pointing out for many people this game needs to offer more viable content, and less window dressing.
So, now it has gone from the “number one complaint” to “for many people”……so which is it?
Mmo players with a screw loose vs mmo players with two screws loose. All very important stuff.

^ Could you wait, and others with the same idea, with posting until January 24? As you’ve probably read, they’ll announce how GW2 will move forward.
Bring back: ‘Gamer’ title + MAT’s!

Oh man, that’s rich. When people disagree with you, or make fun of how many times this sort of thread has popped up on these forums……you threaten posters and Anet.
I am sure they are very, very concerned………maybe you could turn it into some sort of grassroots protest………hey, here’s an idea!…..boycott the game!!!! Yea, that will get them all!!!!…………….yawn.

When I speak, I speak from my own opinion based on what I have seen, Only anet has the statistics of how many posts have been requesting new content. As far as my wording. Any complaint that is considered to be the top complaint would encompass many people.

Happy New Year!

Was wondering myself. Read it three time to see if I missed something. Maybe your opinion is threatening now.

So you’re speaking of the “many” that post this here on these forums?
Ok, so that’s maybe 1/10th of 1% of the actual players of this game, if that(I am being generous….am also including your in game friends who might have said something)
So yea, ok….I agree with you……it’s the #1 complaint of a very small percentile of the actual playerbase.
Maybe this is why you don’t see Anet doing anything about it. But, feel free to keep on jousting that windmill……

Grrrr……“I promise you!!!”…….“until anet does something extraordinary!!”………lol…..seriously? That is what comes off as some sort of silly, empty threat……..lol……..And what will you do if Anet does nothing extraordinary?…….lol

That would be because WoW has a playerbase that is a lot larger. They could have a great month as far as player retention goes, and it would still be more players leaving than GW2 has in it’s worst month.

Some people have the foresight to predict the future based on what they have seen in the past. The statement that I responded to makes reference to the continuation of posts of the topic we are discussing. I was not promising that I would make another post on this topic. I was merely pointing out that someone will, because until anet makes a change, there will always be someone coming here with that hope. If you are threatened by this I apologize.
