The reason I log out
c’mon dude. he payed for the game he is entitled to an opinion. i don’t like bots either. +1
I log out cause i am finished playing for the day full to the brim of fun being had and in my personal experience seeing very few “bots”. I think the “bots are everywhere” is something certain posters run with for their own reasons, whatever they may be. GW2 4 eva!!!!
The reason I log out… Bed time :/

“looks around sheepishly” sometimes i log out waaaaay after bedtime
Is the botting really that bad in this game that you would just up and quit after spending 60 bucks for it? lol. I give it time and let Anet do something about it…Lord knows when, but soon™ I hope. xP

I’ve never seen a bot in my 170 hours of gameplay, though i’m just level 60 and i suppose the bots are in level 80 area’s.

Kessex Hills. The broken bridge the centaurs want to repair. At least on the eight servers I’ve played on – they never go away. There are other prime spots, too. that one is just a classic. It can be fun to sit there watching all those ‘players’ firing at nothing and spamming F and hearing the NPC greetings every two seconds for half an hour.

Well i’ve been there once so cant really comment on that. I never really “look” for bots, maybe its my ignorance but i just dont really see any obvious bots. The bots i’m used to are the ones from Aion. In Aion (NCSoft MMorpg) you have to grind allot and bots ruin the grind cuz they “steal” your mobs. Thats where i did notice bots allot, in GW2 though because of the way the game works bots dont really anoy me(yet).
Hmmmmmm. Not quite on-topic, but regarding Kessex Hills and other such DE’s that are bot magnets, I should think that a possible solution would be to just take those particular DE’s out entirely and replace them with other DE’s that are much more difficult to bot. That particular DE, as I recall from beta, seems to repeat too often and in too predictable a pattern in the first place, which is probably why it and similar DE’s are lucrative targets for bots. Conversely, DE chains like the one in Harathi Hinterlands that begins with Kol Skullsmasher and ends up at the centaurs’ HQ camp in Kingsgate are complex, drawn-out affairs that are comparatively difficult for a bot to set up for (especially as that chain involves a long run halfway across the area map, killing things as you go, and if I understand correctly most bots are set up in one place to stay in that place and just kill things over and over again in a static fashion), or the DE chains in Wayfarer Foothills involving the Svanir Shaman and Svanir Marauder as the end bosses, which are similar in involving several different events and a lot of movement, so you just don’t see as many bots in places like that.

I’ve been there several times during the BWE’s and several weeks ago when I was taking my first character through the game (I’ve only now just gotten another character into the area, so I have to go down there again and see for myself how things are), but I do remember that during beta, and several weeks ago, that place was a magnet for players anyway, never mind bots. I got irritated with that particular DE because it was always so swarmed with players that it was difficult to even be able to kill anything to get credit. That’s probably one thing that made it an attractive target for botters, and as I suggested in my previous post. ANet should probably look at changing or removing DE’s like that that depend too much on waves of enemies attacking a static location. DE chains involving a lot of movement and several events spread out over a sizable area don’t seem to be hit nearly as hard by bots, in my own experience.
