Add one thing that you see in game, a small little thing that just makes you smile, chuckle, etc. to show appreciation of the little things that add to the game

For me, I simply love that when I jump off a high cliff into the water, my toon screams the whole way down. makes me laugh every time

The way that the water droplets cling to your screen when you get out of the water is fantastic.

Also, the way that they made part of the UI the experience, such as when you get blinded and the screen darkens.

I like it when hostile mobs get hungry and assault the local ambient wildlife. Just yesterday I saw two wolves stalk and pounce on a rabbit. Then I slew the wolves and avenged the bunny, cause cats don’t like dogs, and we have to look out for our furry friends.

  • The ambiance in many of the zones, particularly Orr, was done just right.
  • Red herrings in jumping puzzles.
  • The cave under the JP in the SE of Blazeridge Steppes.
  • The underwater passage linking the two large water areas in Snowden Drifts.
  • Norn rangers testing the wind with a raised finger.
  • Revenge of the ambient critter: chickens in Ebonhawke.

I could go on, but that’s enough for now.

The ambient banter between NPCs in town. It’s so prevalent I tend to take it for granted, but without it the world would seem so much less alive.

Edit: I don’t know if I’m allowed to post a “small” but “missing” thing that would improve the game, but I feel a realistic day/night cycle (sun and moon rising in one direction and setting in another, transitions of pink and orange during morning/evening, etc), is something they should have implemented.

Ok, here we go:

that the wintersday minis actually look like old fashioned toys. The griffin has seams and embroidery and the textures of the princess-doll look like some rough linen fabric.

that on wintersday the snow in lions arch was not just there, there were little magical snow-machines spreading it over the city. At the beginning I found it strange that a caribean city should have snow, but then I looked up and saw them. I really love it that they think about such tiny details.

that the turtels in the SAB are some kind of boxes with small cards attached at the side which show the level maps of SAB.

the music-machine in divinities reach

the strawberry field in Kessex Hills with the diving googles

all the stuff lying around which can be used as weapons

More 8 bit graphics pls

For me its the water. I know its not realistic but the water effects are like a painting of its own.

I just watched the demo of a fighting game based on a very famous comic book franchise on Youtube and I must say GW2 character models look way better, even though some races (Norn male) need some work.

My male Sylvari necromancer’s dialogue and tone of voice when speaking to or about his minions. He sounds respectful sometimes, devious others. The VA couldn’t have done the lines more perfectly.
The humpback whales and dolphins in certain underwater areas.
How some of the arachnids have fairly realistic anatomy, though they could stand to be a bit moreso, like Skyrim spiders.
How perfectly Orr was done. It does look depressing, but they really went all the way with it and didn’t chicken out on any of the gruesome details. I’m also constantly impressed with the variety of Risen, and how disgustingly accurate some of the Risen are to, uh, corpses – the humanoid ones are not generally overly stylized.
Zhaitan. Not the battle with him, but his design. Ditto on Tequatl and the Claw of Jormag. I love that you can see his skeleton within the ice.
Caledon Forest, the green areas of Timberline Falls, and Queensdale. I absolutely love those zones. There are a couple forest areas in the Charr lands I like hanging out in, too. They feel real, and remind me of GW1 at the same time.

I play on a laptop which, like most laptops, has very crappy speakers. The other day I played with earphones for the first time. Wow! I never realized how incredible the sound is in this game. I was hearing all these sounds I never heard before. And the music is really well done.

So those of you playing on laptops, get yourself a good pair of headphones or earbuds.

Isn’t that in Fort Salma in Kessex Hills?

On topic:

I really like how there sometimes are special weather effects during dynamic events.
And how my character’s posture changes depending on the surface.
I also quite like how the music changes depending on so many things. For example, if I remember correctly, if you enter combat in Kryta you get different combat music than you get if you enter combat in Ascalon. And it also changes if there is a dynamic event going on.
