The story doesn't feel like a story anymore
Sometimes when developing a story, you can become too immersed in it to see that it is no longer a good story to other people. Perhaps this is what happened to the devs of the GW2 story. This is just one of the many reasons I’m not making a new character until a new class comes out (if one ever does).
Golden shackles are still golden.
It doesn’t feel like a story. This happened in WoW. The original story and level of immersion took a back seat in favor of using it as a means to justify technical/mechanical changes in the game or adding a nerf or buff.
I have no problem with the new story up until level 70. Post level 70 the story has been badly handled and that needs to be fixed. I get what Anet was trying to do…but it didn’t work.
