Hi, everyone.
As an elementalist, at one point I thought that my Fiery Greatsword was dealing 600+800+1000+1200 damage with its main auto attack. God, was I wrong. I then realized, that all this time I was thinking these numbers represent the individual damage of each attack, while in reality they were actually showing me how damage was building up for o single attack. Meaning I was doing 1200 damage in total.
I find this very confusing, as it turned out that it applies for the way my auto dagger attack worked (in fire), dealing only 300 damage, for example, rather than 300+300+300.
Do any of you guys think this is very misleading? At least for new players. Some of the tooltips are also extremely unclear, which is actually kind of cool – you get to ‘explore’ your own abilities, learning new things over time.
For instance, I recently found out that my Meteor Shower inflicts Vulnerability to my targets with each Meteor hit. This is not stated anywhere in the tooltip, nor is the total effective duration of the spell. As it turns out, if I stop casting it mid-cast – it will still go off, throwing less meteors than a full-cast Meteor Shower. I always thought this was an overlooked bug and that there is no difference. There is no way for a new player to ever know about this, unless they stumble upon it or get told about it. And then they might think it’s a bug, like I did. They might even be afraid to use it due to that reason, because of the fear of bans (lmao).
Can we at least expect some sort of a wiki update or a dedicated tutorial page for these things, if the tooltips are to remain so bland?
Thanks for reading.
