So, browsin through that “Things We Miss From GW1” thread brought me to login to the old girl outta pure nostalgia. Naturally, I was one of those people who remade his GW1 character in GW2 because I reserved the name anyway. And it was fitting because my GW1 necromancer was named Bast The Undying as is his GW2 incarnation. And, naturally, as soon as I logged into the game, no, returned to Tyria as Bast The Undying, I scared the kitten outta my roommates with a shout to the heavens, “I LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” One of my roommates promptly dropped the iron he was using to, obviously, iron his uniform for the inspection we had the followin day. He ended up burnin his foot as well as bruisin one of his toes. I treated him to dinner on a masculine apology man date the next night.
Anyway, I logged into GW1 earlier and decided to compare past Bast and future Bast. Or future past Bast if you will. In past Hall of Monuments and future Hall of Monuments… or future past Hall of Monuments. … I realized, “Man, GW1 aged really well.” After comparing the two pics contained in the attachments below, my appreciation for the little bits of nostalgia that ANet sent our way in GW2 rose significantly. And I just wanted to extend my gratitude to ANet for makin two bad kitten games and I hope the future updates to GW2 will enable it have just as much stayin power as its predecessor. So to Anet: Thanks brah. Thanks.
Random things I noticed:
- Life Transfer is still my favorite skill in both games.
- The eagle statue things are super kitten off bout the state of the Hall of Monuments
- Necros look bad kitten with a spear and shield. (HINT ANET NECROS LOOK BAD kitten WITH A SPEAR AND SHIELD)
- Future past Bast has smoother skin and is a lot prettier than past Bast
- But past Bast has bad kitten scar tattoos (HINT ANET BAD kitten SCAR TATTOO ARMOR)
And the moral of this post is now about how everyone should have access to special armor skins (i.e. sweet kitten scar tattoos) common to all races and classes. OR we can make it about how everyone should start posting their GW1 to GW2 before and after pics.
