These angry chickens are OP.
…Memories of Zelda…
It’s got to be an intentional Zelda reference. Wiki says they only spawn after attacking a normal chicken, which makes it a sure bet it’s a reference.

There’s a guy in Divinity’s Reach who asks what you’re doing inside his house. You can answer “Looking for treasure?” and he’ll laugh it off “awkwardly”. That’s more of a general RPG reference, though, not just Zelda.
Then you have Super Adventure Box, which has more than a little Zelda in it.
Edit: Really? You’re going to censor that? Word in quotes to fix it.

One quickly learns not to let the angry chickens get mad at oneself. They breed them tough in Ebonhawke, and always have.
If you must pulverize poultry, please peruse other places for pullets to preserve your peace of mind.
i hare there are rabbits you shouldn’t make mad in the game either but iv never come across it .

Yeah, it’s a Zelda reference. A friend of mine also looked it up on the wiki. Still cool though!

There was in the first Guild Wars. Out in the Far Shiverpeaks there was a rabbit that if you followed it, it lead you down into a gorgeous little location and then… well…. bad things happened.

The filter doesn’t recognize spaces, sometimes it kittenizes legit words, like anything ending in “T” followed by the separate word “its.”
In this case it was the last letter of “off” followed by the first few letters of “awkward.”
I see the problem…Ranger:-)
Now those are some…mhm…really angry OP Hulk like chickens

Haha, beautiful post in a wonderful thread
Lol. I remember encountering those chickens. It was me and 2 guildies. One of us killed one and ended up with all 3 of us being run out of town by them.
It was a little embarrassing being chased off by chickens.

Rocking Wizard Wars until this mess of a game is fixed…
I think this is awesomely hilarious and I hope they keep it that way
• Have you heard of the city? The ancient uru? Where there was power to write worlds •
Rangers should be able to use these as a pet. Seriously.
Step 1: Get N64 or Wii video game system.
Step 2: Buy the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time hard copy or digital copy respectively
Step 3: Play up to Kakariko Village and beat the living snot out of a Cuckoo
Step 4: Understand
Well I can see your biggest problem with them being a bearbow and all.
Gandara
At least when they die and become risen, they go down with hardly a fight…
#Chickenpower
