These legendaries need some love
Nevermores footfalls could do with lasting a step or two more and being more feathery (they look more like splashes than floating feathers). Projectile could do with a unique sound too.
Same with Chuka, footfalls should last 2-3 steps more, I would also like the roar to be a bit louder.
The Juggernaut needs projectile effects for Engineer grenade barrage and Revenant (still!).
The Ascensions glider trails should be fiery. I’d kind of like it to be tilted slightly more to be more upright while weilding too.
Howler’s actual howl could stand to be louder, above the din of the horn blowing. Or just nix the regular horn blowing noise so it doesn’t compete with the Howler effect.

HOPE’s footfalls should also last longer. Maybe the design team has a reason for wanting to shorten the lingering footprints on the HoT legendaries, but they went too far imo. A little shorter, fine, almost unnoticeable due to the swift fade, less fine!
i think rodgort could use a change. it shares the same effect as Incinerator. it needs to stand out differently from it. even the footfalls are so light you can barley see them.
I agree. After crafting Howl a couple of weeks ago, I am a sad camper. The footsteps are barely visible, even swallowed by certain textures, etc. It looked cooler on YouTube than the real thing.
Can we also mention that engineers lose all their legendary effects when they use a kit?
Can I just point out how kittening annoying that is? I’m working on Flameseeker Prophecies right now, and I don’t know if I’ll bother playing even when the expansion decides to come out. Too many longstanding issues that they’ve collectively shrugged their shoulders at.

Agreed. But it’s because kits are considered as bundles. Any player that picks up a bundle loses the effects of the equipped legendary, with a few exceptions of thrown projectiles. (Necromancer death/reapershroud for example, deathshroud will throw my incinerator blade, but reaper shroud loses my Twilight footfalls). Very inconsistent.
To work around engineers though, I’d much rather Fskills worked similar elementailists. Essentially I want them to swap the positions which might enable kits to have the ‘bundle’ status removed. For example, you select Grenade Barrage as utility slot 8, then gain the grenade kit on F3.
The only legendary I own is Howler, and its why I didn’t make another one. I was extremely disappointed in it after all of the effort.
- The aura, while beautiful on large characters, is also far harder to notice on Asura than the other legendaries, because of incorrect scaling of particles
- The sounds and visual effects are completely lost in the class-specific effects, especially those of the Tempest (which are very noisey)
Also I’d like to add that overall, most of what legendaries bring seem almost unnoticeable compared to their extreme cost (except the greatswords, at least).
There are many non-legendary items in the game that even better, visually, too.
Legendaries are mostly just an expensive aura of varying quality.
I’m usually really sweet… but this an internet forum and you know how it has to be.

The thing is, any infusion effects mounted on the weapon persist with a kit. So infusion effects work with kits, but legendary effects don’t. WTF ANet?
