To bad i transferred yesterday! I wanted to get onto Sea of Sorrows because i hear its an unofficial oceanic server. Instead i just transferred to Tarnished coast from Yaks Bend i see no difference in population.

I would avoid Sea of Sorrows, i joined because im a Aussie but currently the server is dead, hardly anyone plays anymore.

I think they need to start merging servers.

so what’s the most populated server and doesn’t suck in wvw?

Crystal Desert IMO.

Oh, I think it’s important to not choose the server because they’re winning but choose one that fits you. (timezone, style, etc)

Come to IOJ if you like wvw, we are the other unofficial oceanic server but have a large na population as well

I’m on far shivs and while it’s not always, the WvW is active and engaging which is far more important imho. I’d much rather have fun losing WvW than queueing on the best server in the game. Besides, the PVE is active and the community is healthy. Those are all important considerations.

Not that you should join far shivs but keep in mind that mere success in WvW doesn’t mean anything.

The problem with IoJ is that pugging WvW is very unenjoyable. Your corp of commanders are also a bit on the slow side compared to other servers. One of the main reason IoJ tanked in rank was because quite a bit of people took the first opportunity to emigrate to a more pug friendly WvW server after Lost Shores.

My server beat the crap out of IoJ when you guys were on tier 2 :#)

SBI needs to regain its oceanic strength, has a great community, and always brings it.

I was on SBI and transferred to IOJ yesterday. I hope it has a large enough NA population.

Crystal Desert is high up in regards to player base and WvW strength. I didn’t want to go for the no.1 server (at the time it was Sea of Sorrows) because it would be overcrowded.

It really is up to you in the end but a general consensus is that Sea of Sorrows, Isle of Janthir and Crystal Desert are three good ones for AUSSIES!
