Thief perma stealth fix soon?
If you’re talking about culling after coming out of stealth, then yeah, that’s definately a huge, huge issue.
Even worse is that when you target them again after popping out you see their red circle on the ground, but it stays in place and basically tricks you into thinking they’re standing still til it finally registers 1-2 seconds too late.
Is it a rendering issue ???? I seen non-thieves use stealth not in a match but playing around with their new toy in a field or well farming . Can’t use a disapring ranger in a match .Then people would know for sure you’re cheating. Don’t let all the fanboy talk fool you they just want to admit to themselves this could be going on.
The sooner people except the fact that things aren’t on the up and up with some players and those players are willing to go to any means to achieve what they want .The faster we can as players work towards eliminating it . WE as players demanded a open world to live in where anything is possible and to have the freedom to be who we want and go about how we want . That comes with a price and its call the cheater .So if his on your team or in your guild or earning the wrong way and you do not report it your just as much to blame and turning a blind eye towards as a fanboy is the worst of all. This is the game you ask for and its a great game and will either get better as time goes on or go the the way of many other games and a few come to mind a world of Pk’ers and cheats. There is nothing to fix the game plays the way it was meant to . It’s the players we play with and thats up to us to fix.
Hopefully this is within the guideline .Its a fine line when talking about this subject.
You can stack stealths on top of each other so long as you don’t run out of stealth and gain the ‘revealed’ debuff. I’ve heard you can stealth as long as 16 seconds thus far – which is possibly what you’re seeing.
Lots of people are simply logging out to avoid death now. Thieves and other classes as well. With short or no queues on a lot of servers they loose exactly nothing for doing it.
In WvW last week I saw a solo Thief (not near any of his team-mates) running around re-stealthing so fast that he never became visible. You’d see the swirls at his feet, and he’s be in stealth again. He did this for many minutes until the 2-3 of us just left instead of chasing him around. It was stupid.
lets see if i can explain this a bit.
first the render in this game for WvW is kitten. characters will dissapear randomly, thats normal.
2nd, thiefs have shadow refuge that lets them stealth up to 14 secounds.
3rd, when a thief stealths sometimes it blinds you, currently the render issue is interfering with this and instead of blinding you it makes the thief dissapear (this happens even if the theif doesnt stealth. if they jsut blind you for example)
i have seen a huge increase in the number of thiefs lately. so i giving my thief a break and making a ranger. as it turns out rangers can create really effective anti-thief builds with all thier immoblize, knockbacks, and stun breakers. plus a wolf using fear makes a thief into a prime target.
hopefuly Anet will fix the render engine, which will fix the blind thing.
as for shadow refuge. if a theif uses that you should see the shadow refuge symbol floating in the air for about 4 secounds.

Just before folks start running around throwing ’hax’ everywhere rangers can trait a stealth. There’s a trait that stealths you when hit by cc. It doesn’t last very long, but I was already called a hacker once, don’t want folks to start thinking it’s impossible for a ranger to stealth without a combo field or thief.
