There have been many things that the devs have stated they are “looking into” with the promise of a future fix. In fact there have been so many that I wanted to start this thread to keep track of them and see how many actually get fixed. I’ll start with the ones I know of off the top of my head, if you know of more please let me know and I will add them to the list.

1. Magic Find being a detriment to groups, solution is being looked into

2. Precursor scavenger hunt is being looked into

3. WvW orbs of power redesign is being looked into

4. WvW map completion is working on being alleviated.

5. WvW ranking system is being looked into

6. Visible titles option is being worked on

7. Ascended gear in WvW will come “eventually”

I know there are more but I can’t remember them or find them easily in the dev tracker, and I probably haven’t even heard of all of them.

“6. Visible titles option is being worked on”

Not sure what you mean by this one; however, there has been an update where you can now see the player’s selected title under their name at all times now.

“Title now appear under the character’s name whenever the name is visible.” Its in the wiki notes under the March updates.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

Just a few off the top of my head:

Culling problems in WvW – looked into and fixed

Culling problems in PvE – looked into and fixed (see upcoming patch announcement) edit: coming soon to a patch near you! (information released early)

Certain Legendary weapons not counting towards achievement
– looked into and fixed

Ability to preview gear on TP
– looked into and fixed

Not enough higher level loot dropping
– looked into and fixed (this may be controversial, but we do get guaranteed rares from boss chests, now)

I am sure we could all come up with lots more on either side of the issue, if we looked through all the dev posts and patch notes.

Yep, there have been plenty of fixes, but there’s still a whole lot of work left to do. The way the OP is phrased makes it look like the OP is trying to “hold Anet accountable” for stuff they say, which is fair enough. However, something being looked at doesn’t mean something will be changed…it’s a kittenumption.

I used to say the same thing. A customer would complain about something I’d say I’ll look into it. Sometimes the thing the customer complained about came to nothing. So nothing was done about it.

Some things, of course, get fixed.

So if the intent of the OP is organized of stuff people are asking for, kudos.

If the intent of the OP is to try to hold a game company to account because of perceived promises that aren’t promises at all…not so good in my opinion.

They didnt fix high level loot not dropping, they fixed a different issue of events not being rewarding enough. These are 2 very different things.

3. WvW orbs of power redesign is being looked into

This is funny because originally it was said (I believe Mike Ferguson) that they would be abandoning it and it would never return.

But recently Devon stated that they would look into it.

Just shows that things can always change, and never say never :P

That was talked in feb. Just noticed they had another interview with Witters, Habib and Ferguson and they said that they’re looking into it.

Depends on what you mean. For example, sometimes you’d kill a champion and get nothing, and that hasn’t happened to me in a long time. Admittedly you might only get a blue, but that’s all that was guaranteed. And that was fixed.

Which loot dropping problem, specifically, are you talking about?

There have been many things that the devs have stated they are “looking into” with the promise of a future fix.

I’ll stop you right there since your premise is flawed.

Stating that they are looking into an issue does not in any way imply that a fix will come, nor is it a promise of such.

Once the devs have investigated an issue or evaluated a situation that was brought up they might determine that everything is working as intended.

They stated that the game is not rewarding enough. Do you think getting a blue is rewarding for killing a random champion roaming the world when I can go kill a normal mob and get the same loot?

Separately they stated that completing a difficult even should reward better, and they fixed that by adding guaranteed rare drops, something that is worth the reward for staying 30 mins to fight a dragon or do some other lengthier event.

I think everything they look into…will be addressed at some point…there track records pretty good actually…they do listen to there player base…

…it just takes TIME…often the solution to a problem is not as easy as some people think…

Remember they are working on these, well giving us regular new features/content…

Different teams are looking into these problems then are releasing the monthly content, which compared to holiday events is rather… meager (15 min quest per month sure is great! sarcasm).

They did state the game was not rewarding enough. The also said you should get a guaranteed drop of blue or higher from a champion. That’s exactly what they said and what they did. A champion is not the game. They’ve increased rewards in certain areas. I know I’m making a lot more money now than I did three, four months ago.

Saying what you want to happen didn’t happen, and saying nothing happened is two different things.

Don’t know about you but I saw an awful lot of praise for both SAB and the new dungeon. You might have missed it, but I sure didn’t.

New dungeon is fine I can give you that (though that was, I believe, worked on by the people who did the holiday events which explains why it was better than previous living story months), SAB is not living story. I did ALL of the Flame and Frost living story in 2 hours yesterday. 4 months of work… 2 hours.

I didn’t bring up living story, I brought up content. SAB was content, whether you liked it or not.

Living Story is also content. If you are going to say that I am not recognizing the Super Boring Box then you must also concede to recognize Living Story.

How about we have the conversation we were having. This is what you said:

<quote>

</quote>

Nothing about living story or not living story. All you talked about was monthly content. I responded with monthly content. Last month they gave us SAB (which was more than 15 minutes of content if you enjoy that sort of thing…a lot more). This month they gave us a dungeon which is certainly more than 15 minutes even if you do it once.

Now, to start saying SAB isn’t a living story, when you said that they weren’t providing content is completely disingenuous.

I do agree early installments of the living story were less than exciting, but that doesn’t mean other content hasn’t been released. Even the redo of AC, all three explorable paths, would have to be considered content.

Considering how many blues and greens have no bids outstanding at the TP, I would say we are getting plenty of higher level loot dropping.

Oh you meant rares and exotics. Well rare prices have dropped a lot on many items, under 20s for a lot of rare armor pieces, it use to be much higher. And then there’s the age old question of how rare should rare items be.

We are heroes. This is what we do!

They have stated on more than one occasion (I don’t remember which thread, but I know I’ve seen it) that they intend on rolling out Living Story content at shorter intervals in the future. They are just still in the process of working out the kinks on how it will work. I [believe] what they said was ever couple of weeks or so. I will have to go find it.

Patience is a virtue….

Edit: kitten the search feature in this forum is lacking terribly.

Anyway, the most recent instance of them talking about wanting to do more frequent updates is in the thread discussing the upcoming May 14th patch. Colin states that they are still working out the kinks for more frequent updates. This does not necessarily pertain specifically to living story updates, however if they can patch easily, more frequently, this increases our chances of getting more living story updates more often. Although, this wasn’t the instance of the topic I was originally referring to. Haven’t found that dev post yet, but I’m still looking.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.
