I started Guild Wars 2 when it was released but stopped a few months later. I really want to get back in to it but when I try I feel like there’s so much to learn and do its overwhelming.

I hardly have bag space unless I buy it. I find it difficult to get gold, should I restart a fresh? What’s a good class to play as?

Easiest to answer question: play whats fun and fits your playstyle. For me, its a thief and mesmer.

The game has become a cash grab in most regards, theres been a lot of temporary content, a lot of QoL and bug squashing(which is good but there are bugs still lingering since BETA such as COF bugs), theres a small gear grind now, lots of focus on 2 week breadcrumb story and not enough on open world content that released with the game or dungeon attention…Oh, and zergs(large globs of people mindlessly mashing their #1 keys) seem to be the sort of content arenanet likes.

But if you find the game, give it a go.

Karma is as abundant as air, and as useless as the Kardashians.

I’d say leave your current character, but try starting anew, since there was a overhaul of the Trait system.

Warrior tends to be a good pick for a first class if you’re getting into the learning curve. Very simple to play, meaning you can focus your attention to learning other things.

As for bag space, I think I got a bunch of 8 and 10 slot bags I can wing your way if you want them.

It can be worth staying with it. Since you find it hard, there is plenty to enjoy while learning your playstyle. If you find it boring with no challenge then you shouldn’t come back.

To get some money, don’t try to craft with your first character. You don’t get enough materials to support it by just adventuring and you can’t afford to buy the rest. Sell junk for more money and use that to buy your bigger bags and everything else. Buy cheap gear from the trading post. Keep an eye on what you can sell on the trading post for coins. You should have enough money then.

Thank you for your suggestions, I think I will start a new character. I have a few birthday gifts that will boost me to 20.

I’ll send my materials to the bank and not delete my first character but put it in storage lol see you all ingame!
