Guild Wars 2

Hello everyone!

Long time player here, been on and off since early release. The last time I played was a bit after the end of living story season 2 came out. So, that was about seven or eight months ago (holy gods, has it really been that long?)

Anyway, I’m just wondering what I missed. The professions I mostly play are axes/staff Necro and flamethrower/grenades Engi in PvE. Any updates at all would be appreciated, as I am now completely out of the loop.

There is a HUGE balance patch about to hit within less than 24 hours, so be ready for that. Besides that, not too much has changed. Or at least nothing I recall, but I’ve been unable to play much lately so I may not be the best person to answer.

The new patch is more than a balance patch. It’s one of the biggest patches in the game’s history. Traits will be replaced by core specializations. The skill point changes have been reversed. Traits and skills are changing. There’s updates to the account wallet, and Lion’s Arch will finally be rebuilt.

traits are being switched over to the HoT systems and condi’s are gettin a re-vamp

Having taken several months off myself, both this year and last, after the trait changes and some other missteps alienated me from the game, I feel pretty comfortable saying this looks like a good time to come back.

Only be a few months old my self, I am excited for the changes, I can’t wait to see how i can play my engi and thief in the new system, it just a shame i have to work before I get to try it out, but i guess i get the benifect of though first hour patches that most likely come out too.
Wallet changing being the best, saving some invo or bank space, and haveing all characters share it now, will make it slightly easier to play multiple charcters in drytop/siliverwaste, if I wish.
