So at the moment I’m on Desolation server in Europe. I’m thinking of switching to Kainegg which is a USA server because I got some friends there.

Someone I know lives in the EU and is on a USA server, he gets not lag. Will this be the same for me.

Also I want to switch before it costs.

Without knowing anything about yours or your friends systems, internet connections, play times, etc…there’s just no way to tell. Best thing to do is to have your friend come over and log into his account from your computer and see how it runs.

This sentence is false.

I don’t see why you’d have any trouble. I’ve played online games on systems with lower stats than that…me in the U.S. and the server in Asia so I’d venture to guess that you should be good to go.

This sentence is false.

I maybe misreading this thread, but what does computer specs have to do with lag?

Sort of a hijack, but…

Is there an inofficial European Oceania server? Playing on a European server, I was waiting for guesting, but it won’t work between the US and European servers.
I really don’t want to switch to an US server (even though it should not be any problem in terms of language), but hey, I am +8 hours to my timezone, which can be a real pain for any group content.

Connection has never been a problem for me.

If specs are bad and connection isn’t great then increasing the distance to the server you connect to will have a much more profound affect on overall performance.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lag_%28online_gaming%29

“While there may be numerous underlying reasons for why a player experiences lag, they can be summarized as insufficient hardware in either the client or the server, or a poor connection between the client and server.”

This sentence is false.
