What we are missing is the Evil Heavy armor class, so something like Death Knight.

Light: Good Elementalist, Neutral Mesmer, Evil Necromancer.
Medium: Good Ranger, Neutral Engineer, Evil Thief
Heavy: Good Guardian, Neutral Warrior, Evil ?

Maybe evil is not the best word for it so something dark that can use death magic, etc.

I see where you are getting at…. and it come down to combo fields and such too… having a heavy class with dark and ethereal fields would be good, especially if there were some blast finishers (not all too many in heavy classes at present). This would make a class that would be synergistic with other classes for might stacking, area retaliation, etc. (I know guard hammer 2 already does this, and so on)

Now to think outside the box! :o

There are three types of armour, each with a different value of defence. If we could utilise this on a single class, that would be interesting, imo!
*********************************************

For example: A barbarian (already been mentioned once in this thread)
You could have him gain extra power for the less armour you had on him, so more power while wearing light armour, less power while wearing heavy armour (lets see what the zerk meta does with that…)

How about… A Claymore -like soldier type?

These fighters will use either a greatsword or two swords. Their mechanic is simple.

  • Normal: they use battle skills similar to warriors, but they would focus on dodging and dealing quick hits.
  • F1: they would “attune” to Zhaitan (since he is the first dead Dragon) and change their weapon skills to a more dead-related fighting style (with some physical transformation like the real Claymore)
  • F2: they would “attune” to Jormag (since we got its tooth) and change their weapon skills to a more icebrood related fighting style (with some ice on them)
  • F3: they would “attune” to Kralkatorrik (since we can study its corruption) and change their weapon skills to a more branded related fighting style (with some crystal on them)
  • F4: they would “attune” to Mordremoth (since we got its vines) and change their weapon skills to a more mordrem related fighting style (with some vines on them)
  • Elites: on land it’s a transformation related to Primodus (with 5 new fire-related skills) and in water it’s related to Bubbles (with 5 water-related skills).

What do you guys think of it?

We got the fighter (Warrior) Paladin (Guardian), it seems we lack a barbarian .

or a spartan with shield bash and aoe close control.

1st April joke, when gw2 receives a “balance” update.

I’m still vouching for an armored ritualist/summoner.
