is it just me or … for some time on the front pages of many forums (first of all Guild Wars 2 Discussion) are read only complaints, protests, criticisms, complaints, regret …

A few months ago, when I invited some of my friends to play, it was not unusual to find threads like “This is the best game I’ve ever played” … threads that have completely disappeared … fallen into oblivion

there is someone “on the other side” that reads these forums?

Forums are always full of complaining. Nobody takes the time to go to the forum page and write a thread about how great the game is, they show that by actively playing the game.

Only people who are really mad go to the forums and open up a thread, that’s the way humans work and thankfully anet doesn’t listen too much.

Because nobody comes on the forum to say thank you, just like nobody ever contacts customer service to tell them they’re doing a good job, I mean, did you ever contact your internet provider to tell him “DUDE, I didn’t DC in 6 kittening months, you’re doing a great job, keep it up!!!” or is it usually something in the lines of " The internet keeps disconnecting every now and then, why is it doing this, what the kitten am I paying you for???"

I agree this game has some issues, but it is far and away the best MMO for my specific play style.

This game has issues. Other MMOs are intolerable to me. So I speak up when I see something that’s just painfully one-sided.

As you might imagine I don’t get a huge amount of fan mail. lol

Being optimistic and positive about a game will get you hate on any Videogame forum, vayne, people hate to smile and be positive apparently.

Unfortunately, the majority of people one sees in the forums are people who are unhappy.

I agree with Vayne. Yes, this game has issues, but it is by a very wide margin, the best game out there FOR ME.

The thing is that it’s like this on any game forum. Those who are enjoying the game, no matter what the game is, are actually PLAYING the game. They’re not here in the forums complaining that their shiney isn’t good enough or easy enough to get.

The negative posts don’t fade as quickly, partly because people get into arguments in those threads. Sometimes these arguments go on for pages and pages. This can generate an initial false impression, because it looks like a negative thread has a lot of responses — when in actuality half of the posts are by two people. Occasionally, a critic can derail the positive threads as well, but this seems to happen less frequently.

Troll -someone who disagrees with me.
Fanboi -someone who disagrees with me.
White Knight -someone who disagrees with me.
Long thread is usually 2 people who disagree with each other.

Yes they have been thank yous and negative thread.Turns out there are more negative threads.Live with it no amount off qqing over less positive thread will do anything which also contribute as a negative thread.

Well, since they turned off PvE culling there have been a lot less of the ‘this game is dying’ threads. So there’s that at least.
