Go play another game then, better yet go make your own game with all these ideas.

I agree, not the game for you. And this game isn’t likely to become the game for you. Not every game needs to appeal to every player.

Guild Wars 1 can’t jump

Guild Wars 4 not compatible with virtual reality

This is basically the new iteration of " suggestion: mounts?"

Mounts are not for this game. I do play 2 other games that have mounts, I Play World of Warcraft, and Archeage. I feel if i need to mess with mounts, I do not come here, and ask for them in the forums since I have accepted that if I am playing Gw2. I am going to Play Gw2 as it is intended to be played by the developers.

The developers do not intend for gw2 to have mounts.

If the OP NEEDS mounts. There are plenty of MMO’s tat have mounts.

World of Warcraft is one, Archeage is another. I believe Eve Online also has mounts, except those are called star ships. I may be wrong, do not Know alot about Eve Online. One thing I did Notice, they all have something in common. a Monthly sub.

I am sensing that there are some, …not all..but some… that want the features they enjoy from Monthly sub games…. but want it in a free2play game. Hence the need to demand those changes here, Instead of playing them in the Monthly sub games.

If the OP wishes to stick with gw2, he needs to accept that there have been no mounts here, there are no mounts here, and chances are …there will be no mounts here.

Mounts get a LOT of Push – back from players… Not a Little…a LOT.

So as others have said… Not every game appeals to every player. nor does it have to. if this game does not appeal. Maybe one of the ones mentioned above might suit best?

Ok, grammar not too great but let me see if I understand.
So you want more bug fixes? Ok, seems reasonable.
Camel? Elephant? Dragon? So you want both land and air mounts? Ok, well this isn’t a new request and I’m doubtful you’ll get this.
Parachuting? Gliding? Ski? Paddle? Balloon? Well I don’t think there is a lot of appeal to a lot of people in these sort of activities.
Designing own cloths? Again, not really a request that matches the genre very well.

Go play Just Cause 2. Seems rather your thing :-)

But… eh some people just don’t know what game they are buying it seems… OP what did you expect when you bought GW2? Ok, mounts is pretty common in MMO’s but ‘parachuting, gliding cliff jump, ski, paddle, ride balloons and finally Design your own clothes’, in what MMO’s is this something you would expect GW2 to have? In my opinion GW2 has the most options to design your outfit as you want than any other MMO’s that I have played atleast. About flying, you can ride a hot air balloon but there is no CG or animation on that though. About mounts, not this again I have stated my opinion on this before.

Sorry OP, wrong game.

First, mounts don’t really fit in this game. That’s it own debate, we won’t go into it here.

Second, Anet has stated that there will never be flying in GW2. It would completely negate JP’s and Vistas.

Third, as fun as designing your own clothing might be, it’s not likely to ever happen. Anet has already said no to letting players create their own maps and such, this would likely fit right into that bag of oddities. This is not the path Anet wants GW2 to travel.

It very much sounds like you and this game are not going to mesh.

Aside for OP’s writing skills, the requests are not unreasonable. Is WoW the same game it was 2 years ago, or 10 years ago?

MMOs are designed to adapt or they die. WoW didn’t always have flying. GW2 should offer toys like these for fun. If you don’t want to mount up, then don’t get one. If you don’t want to use a glider off a mountain cliff after viewing a beautiful vista, then don’t. Why put your foot down and say others shouldn’t want these things?

Sometimes the goofiest, most stupid toys in MMOs can be amazing fun for some people. Don’t tell others to go play another game because they simply want GW2 to grow. No other game offers the combat that GW2 has, nor the same art style.

GW2 is the game for me, and I’ve played many other MMOs to know the difference. If WoW does anything right, it is copying the really good ideas of other current MMOs. Anet should listen to the community and look to see what is popular so they can adapt and grow.

The biggest complaint I see on these forums over and over again is that after 2 years we still have basically the same game with the same content, just with the living story slapped on it.

GW2 needs to adapt and grow, or it will simply fade away…this is the way of things: evolution.

Some of the comments are a bit too harsh, but I agree you have chosen the wrong game. What you “want” is relevant to an existing 2 year old game…..(other than you might not “want” to play it).

Altho I think this is one of those weird posts, I do have to say as an Engineer in WoW I do miss my parachute and glider!

Because of the axe in your pic, I would venture to say you have dropped quite a few hours into the game as it is.

Why time spend in game when hours put in already of the many time?

If it’s about mounts:

Look at Mecha Siege Devourers in Edge of the Mist, they use same design as Junundus and Siege Devourers in GW1, replace your skill bar, are transformations and modify your stats.
If there’s gonna be a mount, that’s the kind they very likely be…

World of Warcraft has mounts.
Final Fantasy XIV has mounts.
Dragon Nest has mounts.
Neverwinter has mounts.
ArcheAge has mounts.
TERA has mounts.
RIFT has mounts.

I’ve played them all — I might have been around the block a time or two — and not once in Guild Wars 2 have I ever felt like or thought that the game needed to have a mount system. Perhaps it’s the way the Waypoint system works, but as large as the current playable world of Tyria may be, traveling from point A to point B is not one bit problematic.

Besides, I can’t imagine what a Charr riding a horse would even look like.

it is forbidden to ask for something new in gw2,thats why so many fanboys here got offended.Maps are too small,game architecture is not made and cant work with mounts.there is also additional lag problem…..xx problems,simply game cant work with mounts.I personally dont like mounts,but it would be good to add something new in game,also they can be good income for anet.

The fact that Anet doesn’t add it despite it being able to become a “good income” for Anet but may break the game is a show of responsibility by Anet, in my opinion.

Maybe you could get enough of what you want if the game allowed you to control a free fly camera, as some games do. This would allow you to fly over all of Tyria with a birds-eye view. I’m not sure how difficult it would be for Anet to add such a feature.

I can imagine the headache for the company running the game due to inappropriate “designs”, offensive symbols etc, hehe.

Edit: But – on that subject – I believe Anet ran some contests in the past for capes (?), that I would definitely like to see, because so many people come up with so much awesome stuff. Every half a year one contest for weapons, one for armour – hey maybe even one for an outfit. Bam, customers engaged and entertained.

STO had a ‘Design the Enterprise F’ contest.

They maybe should go the TF2 routine, make the base body meshes available for download, let the community create armors\weapons and submit them into a sort of voting system and then add the winners each week\month into the gem store for a time..or directly in game for npcs, punchase or random drops. It saves creating time, people can vote on what they wanna see AND a-net makes money(gem sales) with it.
Yea.. yea.. wishfull thinking but that would be cool.

Maybe they cannot afford WoW? Maybe they figure they can play Gw2 without a monthly, then turn it to WoW? That way they get WoW without the Monthly?

Based on the things some players ask be added to the game, it seems they want WoW, without the WoW Monthly sub.
