Rank up chests in WvW cannot be very random… This happens ALL THE TIME.

Sorry to hear you are having some bad luck. The chests’ contents must be random, I get quite a few Rares, and the very occasional Exotic from them.

Try carrying one of the in-game Rabbit’s Foots? =P

well yeah there is a pool of items that can be inside
it happened to me about 8times as well
(out of several hundred)
it happens in dungeons as well with all chests not just wvw

but thats becasue there is not every rune armour combination that can be dropped
if it could the auction house would have…. LOOOOTS of stuff
it would not be verry easy to trade nor would it be easy to grasp their own ingame auction house for anet^^

maybe its fixed? maybe if you reach the end rank you get a precusor

Yeah I think however they seed the RNG it gives back identical numbers if it rolls at the same time very often.

I get a double roll like that at least once a day. It doesn’t mean that it is necessarily broken, but it is an odd behavior.

This is not unusual since there is no true way to obtain an ACTUAL RNG seed number from modern computing systems. Also, if the loot table list is limited, duplicate items are certainly possible.

This is the crux of the matter. Items are not (totally) randomly generated. Rather, there is a list of specific items and it is randomly picked from. Even if you are seeing double picks frequently, it is quite possible that it can happen. Not entropically favored does not mean impossible.

Just sayin, I would love an ascended chest with armor or weapon, or at least something I can use… If they’re going to make it give me 2 of the same items, lets make it 2 precursors so i can stop being broke! lol
