Last years festival was a copy paste of the year before and the extreme grind required for specific rewards was not welcome. So basically I have zero expectations for this years Halloween, which is a shame as it used to be my favourite festival.

I see a lot of questions about what’s coming, and sadly, I can’t answer those because I’m really not sure of the answers. We’ll put out a blog post and a release page that will have a lot of info about the event. That will be coming up in a couple of weeks.

I was there for Halloween. I tried my hardest to get one from a chest. RNG never gave it to me. It’s literally the only weapon I have ever wanted in the game and it’s too expensive to actually buy on the trading post. The Scythe Skin isn’t even available anymore.
These skins were under a stupid RNG system before and need to come back. Please!

It doesn’t, i would personally like it if they did a collection of the more recent haloween items, and if you collected them all, you could get an account bound skin of the old ones (wichever you choose).
And i’m not saying this because i want it myself, i have the ghastly grinning shield, no interest in others except maybe the greatsword, but then again i have eternity so i’d probally never use it.

Actually you were required to be there for the “witch hat” as well as the “emissary” title (2012 fest). Though hopefully those will never make a comeback, but the others items can return. GAME ON

For me, Halloween event is much more important than HoT event release.
Halloween is fun, rewarding, provides gold and has good offers in gem store.
My personal concern is that most players (if not all) will be in new Maguuma maps, dungeons and raids, while only few people will enjoy the actual Halloween event.
I know others think differently, but I enjoy Halloween event in GW2, even though I have no connection whatsoever with Halloween as american holiday.
