This is getting rather annoying
The problem is, I believe, is that most LFG posts are “join on me” posts not “I want to join on you.” Add people in a hurry and not reading and you have people who join your LFG, looking for what you’re looking for, who then who leave because your group isn’t ’it.
I don’t see how this can be fixed myself. It’s just people being people I’m afraid. In a hurry and not paying attention. Your best bet is probably to concentrate more on looking for LFGs trying to taxi more people into their shard.
It could be how/what you’re putting as the lfg description.

The common use of the LFG tool is for the people advertising to be putting together a group on them, not for the people advertising to be looking to join someone elses group. Not to imply that anything else is necessarily wrong, but the largest number of people are going to be expecting to be joining in on the advertiser, not for the advertiser to want to join someone else.
So yah, unless your message is 100% clear that you are NOT the thing you’re looking for, then you’re going to get people who join on you thinking you have what you’re seeking. Probably get some even if it is perfectly clear.
Its also possible that some people join you because they’re also looking for the same thing you are and are hoping to stick around in the group until the person with that does come along. Tagging along, essentially.
I put up a request on LFG “Seeking taxi to SW Events” and very quickly got an invite to a map 90% to Breach … which sadly was full.
But if the first two words are “seeking taxi” you will filter out most people going the wrong way as you describe.
Personally I’ve never used the lfg-tool to check if somebody is looking for a party to join. I don’t know what other people do, but you’ll probably find it easier to find a group advertising its IP to join.

Seeking / looking for / not a taxi… doesn’t matter what I put down sadly.
It’s 100% clear they have no clue and just randomly join and upset the LFG system.
i’m not sure what kind of map you are looking for.
most likely they are doing the same thing as you. They probably just finished their maps and want to look for a map which at least have some progress instead of waiting 1 hour breech again.

How is that relevant to the issue?
Also, it doesn’t even matter what you are looking for. People join and leave to screw up your LFG regardless of what you type.
