So, when did we learn that Canach was a part of Destiny’s Edge 2.0? In the most recent blog post about the story so far, arena net has included Canach in with Brham(sp?) Marjory, Kas., Taimi, and Rox. I’m not sure if I missed anything, but I don’t ever remember experiencing this happening. As far as I know, he still works for Anise. This reminds me of the whole debacle about Mordremoth’s name back when it became official. Our characters never actually learned it’s name. that was more acceptable since it was all over the forums. but I have never even heard of this being a thing. Why is arena net letting us know by putting it in a blog post rather than letting us learn about him joining DE 2.0 in HoT?

Cause he appears with “DE 2.0” in the Epilogue cut-scene for HoT, so we know he’s joining in… But yeah maybe they jumped the gun… Didn’t read the post yet.

They just mentioned Canach among the others because he often is among us, nothing new so far.

Canach was with us when we were with Kas at the party thing. investigating the ministers to see who was spreading rumors about the queen and scarlet meeting up. He was there again at the summit. Both times he was Anis’ dog. He didn’t even speak to other DE 2.0 except maybe Kas. Was there any other time? I went back and re-watched the cut-scene. He is in a shot with them for about two or three seconds at the end. And it’s not very obvious it’s him, either. Maybe it’s just me, but this is the kind of thing I like to see the story address rather than a blog post. I know it’s little and there’s enough complaining on the forums already. It’s just that this really got under my skin.

But you can make a logical assumption that him coming with us means as a part of the team.

It’s more likely that it’s referring to how Anise told him to join with the Pact, and we’re a pretty important person in the Pact.

Similarly, him being included in the paragraph doesn’t mean that’s officially a part of DE 2.0, just that he’s an important character in the storyline. It’s possible that he might join in on the action, as there is a gap in the DE 2.0 team for a Sylvari, but that’s something that can’t really be known at this time.

I just skimmed through the story so far but if you would go only for what it says there then Rox and Kas isn’t a part of DE 2.0 …

I beleave Marjory, Taimi, Braham and Canach is the ones that can flip (as it is said) and make the situation worse for our Heroes.
Though I think Canach could be a cool addition to DE 2.0 though, I like his Rouge style.

Canach was there when we cleared Jenna’s name. Then he was there at the summit where Anise ordered him to join the pact.

The exact dialogue:

Countess Anise: Very well, Canach. Playtime is over and you’ve passed your audition. You’re to go with them.
Canach: Why?
Countess Anise: I want you to learn what you can about the Pact’s plans. Follow them to their staging area.
Countess Anise: I need someone there I know can get the job done, and I believe you may be that someone.
Canach: I shall prove you correct. Until we meet again.

So at that point Canach joined the anti-Mordremoth alliance and became some part of the player’s group (DE 2.0?).

Then, later on, we worked with Canach at Caithe’s Recon mission, he planted the mines all over the place and instructed us to use them to kill the wolves.

He ain’t part of my team until I know he isn’t a back-stabbing cabbage. So far, his sneakiness doesn’t lend well given his dealings with Anise.

That and who knows how resistant he is to Mordy’s corruption. He isn’t exactly a white knight like Trehearne.

What irony, I kinda knew I spelled it wrong I thought ‘is it Rogue or Rouge hmm… Owell whatever’ and I had the feeling that this is something someone will joke about. So I am not gonna edit my error instad I will have people laugh about it. HA HA … Meh

anyway, uh, topic. I had a feeling Canach will join DE 2.0 since they’re short a sylvari, but I’d much rather the story organically reveal that rather than it just happens. It’ll be interesting, anyway, for the party to gain a sylvari at a time when people are just beginning to distrust them.
