Funny thing is, they didn’t even do that right. Looks hilarious with “emissary of the mad king” on a toon with 5 letter name.

Well I blacked out the random persons name because well, yeah. The icon is attached to the title not the name, even though it is beside the name.

So what you get is, most players it looks attached to the end of the name. But someone with a short name + long title, it has a wide gap between name and icon because, whelp actually attached to end of title.

umm its not the most dumbest thing they done . but its close to it . . when i first saw it i was like huh . then i saw your post and did a little reading . yeah really bright ideas .

Nah I like it, another way to separate players, like how if someone is level 80 they don’t have HoT!
Now we can see all the people who don’t touch PvP!

I assume the idea is to try and advertise leagues to the people that do PvE/WvW exclusively, since I don’t see people that never leave Heart of the Mists caring about whether or not they could show off their kitten if they went to LA.

So where’s the WvW version Anet?

Removing combat visual clutter and then adding the pvp league icon nameplate clutter is indeed pretty dumb. I cant imagine it will remain this way to long, I think its pretty obvious how bad and out of place it looks, all they need to do is hide it the same way they do with map completion stars and mastery levels.

Do you guys even know how hard it is to spot one of these symbols…. I saw one guy standing infront of me, saw the symbol. He walked into a zerg, I could not find the symbol again. The only reason I can think of why you would not want this is because you don’t want people to show of their pvp rank since you are not good enough to reach it.

Well, yah. If he dissapears into a crowd of people, then you won’t be able to see him.

For me, my point is that Mastery points only show in PvE, WvW rank titles only shows in WvW. PvP rank should only show in PvP. There isn’t a reason to display your PvP rank outside of PvP that isn’t there for displaying Mastery rank or WvW rank outside their respective areas.

Spvp now looks like a game of Scrabble.

Er… you can show WvW and PvP rank titles in PvE and vice versa. It’s always been that way. The new rank thing is fine. I don’t see how it would be a real issue for anyone.

Granted, I have seen threads complaining about HoT beta weekend adverts on loading screens and a ridiculous outcry from people over Anet putting an advert for the gem exchange in the gem store.

So… I guess this isn’t really a surprise. Carry on you loony toons.

Yes because ppl are failing to see why this is dumber than say other genuine problems that have cropped up like the recent visual nerf issue which has pages upon pages of complaints, for example.
This is a discussion forum, so to post on here you need to provide material for discussion.

I see no issue with the number from what i have seen. Ive seen plenty in map chat who like it.
