This always makes me terribly sad every time I see it. Pistrix was once so full of life with her brood surrounding her, they’d sometimes come up on land for a little sun/moon bathing but were always fierce and ready for a fight.

Reminds me of the good old days in Everquest 2 when fishes could follow you even on land

I’ve never seen Pistrix not floating lifeless in over 3,000 hours. Is it not supposed to be dead?

Also, my Armor Fish likes to go for long, moonlit strolls on the shores.

Once upon a time, it was alive, swimming with 2 bodyguard sharks that can chase people out of the water. The gods has to kill it because people started calling it a bug when it’s obviously a shark.

It doesn’t even give you any info or take time to commune anymore, it’s just boom, skillpoint added to your character. You’d think they could at least add a sentence about the ancient shark or something.

I think they did this because this SP kept bugging like once each two days, with sharks getting stuck inside the rock wall too. Maybe they could not find a way so that it would be permanently fixed so it turned out like this. I honestly don’t mind it, faster map completion :P

I do remember when it was alive. I also remember that it was impossible to do because it was bugged.

They left it in dead state because of the bug, so it is not still bugged.

It’s dead because they couldn’t fix the bug. At least they never tried to write a living story around it saying “Scarlet killed it.”

Oh God, I just gave them ideas.

It’s been like that for my last 3 world completes I’m sure……so that’s about 3 months at my rate.

I know it was bugged several times as for my first few chars I had to try it again each day until I finally got it. It would also depend on your server, some servers were bugged more often. It seems they have given up on it by the sounds of things and just left it in this state, I guess that’s better than it bugging out every second day…

This has been bugged forever. First time i tried to do that SP i had to send in a report because there were the 3 sharkes sitting dead on the rocks. I couldn’t even interact. Next time they were at least alive on the rocks. Still ridiculous they haven’t fixed this after all this time.

I actually got to fight Pistrix on my first two characters… who knew I should have made a video.
