I think they should add a “Wiki” option when you right click and item or event or even titles. Also an inspect option on other players just to let you see the gear they are running.

There is a /wiki (item/event) option in-game. It may be a bit more key press-intensive, but not much.

i know wiki exists but a lot of people don’t actually know about it unless you played the original. with the right click people would see it. I like seeing peoples gear expecially if im learning a build or i like the skin.

IDK what’s up with people being so against gear inspection.
If you’re so afraid you’ll be turned down from something based on your gear, then probably deep down inside you know you either shouldn’t be running that gear or with those people.
I’m all for off-meta builds, i love to use them, and encourage my guildmates to use them (unless they’re playing ranked PvP, specially with the current meta), i find it that someone is far more effective if they play something they com up with even if its opposite from the meta, than someone that copies a build and then fails to use it effectively.

But i’m ok with inspecting gear. For one it would save us the trouble of having to hope someone is online when you see some guy standing in LA with an interesting skin and you’re curious to what he’s using.

just a fyi if you do not know why people are not into gear inspection. and so very dead set against they are willing to leave the game over it .

I just feel like its an invasion of my privacy. If anyone wants to know then they can ask. I’m not afraid to talk stats and more than happy to share what skins my armour uses.

now that is what iam talking about right there. and very well said too . but i should tell you tho they are not interested in your skins as they more interested in the facts your is ascended

and that you got the max weapons and runes and food to boot. and that way if you do not have them things

then they will kick you from there little sad group and move on . leaving you to wounder

hey why did they kick me? did i say something wrong maybe ? no you just did not

have max armor runes and armors or weapons to suit there tastes . is all . just saying

so you know for sure they not interested in your weapon or toon skin,s at all

in this game you can not see other players gear stats and so forth by clicking on them

like you can do in wow or world of war craft if you will . in that game you can click on

the players toon and find out all the gear and rune stat info on him with out even asking

. honestly to tell the truth iam glad this game does not have that and hope it dont get it

too

that i agree with you fully on !!! we just do not need it nor do we want it to even be in

this game. for the reason it sure is not world of war craft. and the game sure is not fixed on top of that.

but that is what they are trying to do with this GW2 Efficiency thing. and the only way

i can see them even being able to do it . is some one would have to make a web site for

and the people put all there toon info into that web site . and it becomes a data base

and try to force us to use such a site . if they want that they can go back to

world of war craft wow . and stay there we dont need them . but it nice if the game

was fixed properly

In the Characters tab you can see all your characters. Click on one and there is a share thingy on the bottom left. It’s nice that you can select which characters are shared, and after that you can pass on links to either your account or character, like this:

(Shared characters can also be searched for with character or account name)

GW2efficiency cannot be used to look at any gear other than yours, unless someone gives you their API key. That makes it different from an in-game gear check, since it’s opt-in only.

yeah when it comes to thingy,s like this share thingy stuff . ahh not going to happen i do not share well .

just have to make sure it is set to no sharing and hope that does not get changed by

the next patch .

i thought so and that being the case even more so . worst idea ever and hope they do not

do something like this. if so a lot more players will be leaving the game . then already

have left so far. for a number of reason,s . but all together just a very very bad idea .
