Q:

Hey Guys,

Anyways, I have been playing GW2 on and off for about a year. I still haven’t reached level 80 funny enough, but instead tend to make a new character around level 60. I just find there is not enough progression and dungeons are just kind of a zerk fest. I personally believe that skill should be bound to weapons and professions as they are, but i wish there were like maybe specializations in the weapons. So say you could have a warrior with a greatsword, and that warrior could specialize in say one of three different traits each with their own unique skills. Not saying holy trinity or anything because i know that won’t be coming into the game and is one of the main reasons people buy the game, but it would add a lot more variety. So you could chose to center your warrior around say offense (Warrior has the spin attack), or could specialize in defense (Warrior jumps back and gains a defensive buff), or utility (Warrior gains a speed buff and become invisible for a short period of time). I just want to hear peoples thoughts on my idea, and hopefully if this gets enough attention, could possibly go in the game? Anyways, please comment below and tell me what you think. (Feel free to point out any flaws)

Thanks for reading,

you probably should investigate a bit more.

It’s true that weapon skills don’t change with specialization.

But warrior still can be pure dps GS/axe-mace, or mostly pure support GS (phalanx strength and banners)

Instead of changing the weapon skills, you get to change the utilities and favour certain weapon skills over others that become situational.
