When you see Tootsie charging its escape bar, pop it with an interrupt. That’s all it takes to keep her from running.

I agree, I really like this fight and I’d like to see more champions with special mechanics. It makes the fights more fun.

Have you seen how fast it runs? Using Fear on it would practically be griefing the encounter, any Fear that lasts for more than a second would chase it out of agro range and force a reset.
It does suck that necromancers can’t fulfill the interrupt required for the encounter’s mechanics, but allowing Fear to work just opens a whole new can of worms for the fight.

As a thief, Tootsie is trivial as long as she has someone besides me to swing at because I can just Head Shot as needed. Cooldowns are silly.
The thief basilisk venom also doesn’t work. Just so’s ye know.
Interrupt mesmer. At any given moment, I got a stun or daze that will keep her on her feet.
I wonder if I can solo her…that would be fun to try…

We could also make the fear the same as the fear on a champ with a defiance stack with the added bonus of being an interrupt of course: The condition is still active (usefull for terror builds) but the champ isn’t moving.
The first time I encountered Three Toed Tootsie, I literally did not know what hit me and ended up in a downed pile, pecked by the fastest moa in the west before I knew what was happening. I took screenshots and shared with my friends captioned with “There’s a new law bird in town”.
I love and am still terrified of Tootsie.

That definitely sounds like a bug. On the other hand, why waste an Elite skill with a long cooldown on her when your off-hand pistol has a daze at hand whenever you want? Off-hand pistol thieves make great dedicated interrupters for a Tootsie fight (as long as someone else has her aggro :-P ), and I love fighting her in that role. I’m always saddened when people go to the Colocal Queen instead of Tootsie.
