This skill needs a nerf. I know there’s going to be whiners that abuse this skill. But for a skill to do so much damage at 1500 range, interrupts and adds burning with no indication its coming and no way to defend against it, unless you’re perma blocking, Is unbalanced. Shorten then range to 900 or so, remove the burning and its all good.

It’s not the worst, it’s just not the cheesiest in Conquest. That right there makes a HUGE difference. Rifle/GS DPS potential is pretty extreme atm.

That’s why there was ZERO warriors in all last NA and EU tournaments, right? Those silly people just not realized yet how OP Gun Flame is.
Nerf the only skill that Warriors have left in pvp. Yep that’s a good solution (sarcasm). If you play a full zerker, yes it will hurt. Learn not to run full zerk if you can’t handle incoming damage. Warriors will be the weakest class in pvp after the new patch unless they get more changes in the new patch. They can’t be more nerfed into the ground.
I have both played as a warrior and faced warriors using GunFlame, it’s quite easy to counter, especially if they aren’t using signet of strength. Play duels against warriors and you will see how easy it is to counter once you learn it. They burn so much for that huge one hit and you can see the animation quite easy. It’s a cake walk afterwards against most warriors.
While I agree that this ability does hurt a lot if you aren’t paying attention to your surroundings, you need to understand though that despite this high damage burst. Most warriors only play this for one reason, they don’t have anything else that can handle the bunker meta atm. It does seem that A-Net wants warrior to be bunker busters while staying very weak towards everything else. Considering they buff rifle, but pretty much ignore all the other sustain issues that warriors have. I feel bad every time I kill a warrior because I know how they suffer.
I’m all for changing the skill, but you need to solve the rest of the class problems themselves first, which there are a lot of when it comes to warrior against current meta. Solve these and most warrior’s won’t even look at rifle as it currently is. Perhaps with the patch, warriors will use rifle more, considering it’s the only buff they get worthwhile.

Gunflame and killshot have conflicting identities in a sense that they both accomplish the same thing, one a bit better than the other; do a kitten ton of damage. To be able to drop a full HP player with one attack is cheap and shouldn’t happen, regardless how gimmicky the skill is. I have offered a few suggestions to arenanet, seen here:

If we go by this logic, why are they nerfing eles? There were barely any eles in the tournaments and they still decided to butcher it.

Not sure how you think it’s “one of the most telegraphed animations” when casting time is only 0.75 second (not including the quickness with berserk), velocity is at +100%, and the skill allows for free movement while casting
