All these nerfs is just too much for me.

I still remember how i was excited about this game, back in time, before open beta.
I bought the game for me and five other friends. I convinced them to play.
Today I feel cheated. This game is nothing like what was promised. Two years later, and it seems that every step is a departure from the original premise.

Thank you Arenanet, you taught me what “hype” realy means, and I’ll never fall into that trap again.

You promised a game without grind. Guess what? This game is the biggest grind I’ve ever played.

You promised a game where it would be easy to get the best items. No treadmill you said. Guess what? You have created the ascended items, ridiculously difficult and boring to get. (Many will say that the items are not needed. That has been discussed thousands of times, think of a new rhetoric please…)

And now you are nerfing gameplay. That is enough.

I’m sorry that you were let down, Truewarlord. I feel the same way, though not as severely, it seems.
I have to be very conscious now of how I’m feeling playing the game. If I find myself tense and stressed and swearing at my monitor, I have to remind myself to take a breath and go do something I actually enjoy. I try not to get caught up in the grind, the race for awesome-everything, the brag-battle.
Most times I just go to Facebook and play Kitchen Scramble to calm down.

I’m excited about the new festival content, since I haven’t been able to play since it came out, but I get the feeling there won’t be much for me to do solo..

I really want to keep playing this game, and if I can get some friends to play with me then I’m sure it’ll be much more fun, but currently there’s just so little to do compared to where it could be by now.

Same here True. I think I’m ready to move on. Shame though. I invested a lot of time into this game and have a lot of good memories from it.

Time for a little side trip to Borgovia for a break. Van needs some help. But, will keep up to date with future game content releases and the odd daily.

Well if they nerf EotM, I too will join the “looking for a new MMO crowd”. As it sits now I spend more time watching movies and reading forums than I do playing. I feel for ya, and although I’m not gone yet, I needz me my lootz, and the organization involved with getting gold in the pavilion (only way to get decent loot) for the average player is not happening.

And no I don’t want your gold, because I don’t want to see you spend real money for gems.

I came to this exact same conclusion today. I sold my inventory to get enough gold to buy Dusk. I was 200 gold shy, I looked at the TP today it is worth 400 gold more. Now I need 600 gold to get this stupid weapon. The sadest thing is all I am doing is grinding my butt off, so some LUCKY smuck gets rich!!!!!
New patch…. Another stupid grind fest this time no-one drops loot.. Why would you even waste your time..

I feel you, OP. On the bright side – the game is free to play. You can always join my club of people who only get on to do the dailies anymore. :P

That’s a big nope on the nope front.

Not to say I’m rolling in thousands, but I have no complaints for cash. (Because I’m not hunting a precursor.) I know lots of people don’t want their game to be “work”, but it’s not hard to sell goods on the Trading Post.

Once you get to level 80 and do stuff you can get money fairly quickly.

The problem is that there’s not much to do at level 80, so you have to be comfortable with doing the same thing over and over for virtual money. Which, I guess, is a defining characteristic of the MMORPG. But GW2 definitely exemplifies it well.

There’s nothing wrong with getting tired of the grind in a game and taking a break. MMOs have a tendancy to suck the fun out of things now and again, and when a game does that, I take my time and money and play another one. There’s so many to choose from and freshness can be a good thing. Sometimes I come back to the game I left and sometimes I don’t. The point is, this isn’t the only fun game, so have fun trying another one for a while.

Everyone got so bored of this game, everyone was excited at beginning but now, every patch, every nerf is another letdown, there is nothing else for us to do in this game.

It is true that this game has become biggest grind fest ever, due to me being so unfortunate and me being unable to get an item more expensive than 15 gold, or God forsake to get a precursor after 3.5k hours of playing i am just too tired and too saturated of the same old content. When i log in , i’m just running around in circles for an hour and go offline. I feel really sad about the state of the game at this point.

Today I just realized I would take a ridiculous amount of time to craft an ascended weapon because is absurdly ridiculous now to gather dragonite ores, temples are being farmed in a wrong way, and the not disruptive way that people used to farm IS nerfed, even the TWO BEST LIVING STORY PATCHES ARE F********
Then I realized I don’t even need an ascended weapon because I dont play WvW and what is left to do in pve?

What shocks me the most is, Anet thinks we are in the 90s? Within 1 year the graphics of this game will start to look obsolete, the game system will also look too rigid and old I am pretty sure – and it already is in part with the weapon skills. 2 years and that Tyria map looks annoying. We reached Orr but Aurora Glade right next Brisban Wildland is still an unknown area, makes as much sense as kittening upwards in your face.

I always wanted to play this game to know what would happen to the world of Tyria in a promising future, now this future looks as far as my retirement. When they decide to introduce new zones and continents there will be much superior mmo’s around. meh this kitten.
