Tips for beating the Vinewrath
Does this mean its no longer bugged? I know there were issues with a broken lane
I disagree with your last tip. Every bit of damage helps and it’s very easy to sustain yourself simply by dodging and playing smart. Standard PvE rules apply: if you can’t avoid damage because you’re not that great of a player, only then do you add bulk until you can be effective. Good players have no need for bulk in this encounter.

Normally true, but not here. The siege carriers staying alive is what matters. Until you’re in facing the champions, your personal DPS doesn’t really matter at all. You need the siege carriers to damage the walls.
I guess it still is true that normal “dodge stuff and you’re k” is in effect here for personal durability.

You forgot to mention standing in the little WHITE triangles is a GOOD thing. Especially when whole room is flooded with poison.

Waterfield + blasts is MORE then enough to heal them. Meanwhile, best DPS possible is a good offense which equals good defense. the standard you need DPS applies, if your’e good and understand the game at least.
Is anyone actually failing the lane part of the event?
The most trouble I have seen is with the second boss, where people don’t stand in the white triangles when they should.

naw man, one or two pepole healing him is more than enough. The rest should dps the heck out of the mobs – take it from someone who’s beaten him and tagged up for him 10+ times. (still havent gotten a coat drop yet, fml)
tips:
- make sure all lanes are evenly manned, north is usually understaffed. If you see more than 20 people at your lane consider going north.
- second boss: mid-range him so you can stand in the white triangle when he moves to the back of the room. Don’t stand in there and get dazed and probably killed.
- third boss: kill the blossoms and stand on the flowers so you don’t get fried during the ground aoe (which is dodgeable if you really cant get on a flower for some reason)

I’ve only seen that happen once on the first day early on when people apparently didnt know that you had to split up.

No measure of healing gear or tank gear is going to help keep them alive longer. The best way to keep them alive is to periodically blast water fields (which don’t require healing power as a stat) and to kill the mobs that damage them as fast as possible (which means pure DPS is again the best).
Perhaps I should restate (not rephrase, restate) in the OP: spec for group support wherever possible." Because during the lane phase, your DPS is not your primary concern. Keeping everyone (especially the siege carriers) alive is. Yes, you still need DPS, but if you lose some personal DPS for group support, that is better.
Hence what I said in the first place: Your personal DPS does not matter.
Edited the OP with some more of the hints people gave in the thread. Thank you.

Okay today a few guildies setup a map which succeeded at both breech (5/5) and vinewrath(3/3) – 5 times in a row on .226 (I think).
We did not map hop.
Personal DPS is a great benefit all professions have access to some heal skills for carriers (eg water fields on ele/ranger) which are the best area heals for the entire group and players. By ensuring the carriers successfully get to the end of the lanes will give you a massive carrier buff (regen, might, fury etc etc)
As for some tips:(lanes)
*Use siege
*Keep carrier alive – water fields and blast finishers, Stelth the carrier (viel, shadow refuge etc).
*light the signal fires (Keep it going when the mobs spawn up).
Rebuild the ammo as quickly as possible if it runs out.
Do lots and lots of damage.
It is usually the bosses which cause the most problems – and here you want to be specd for as much DPS as possible (zerker / sinister works a treat : please leave the nobads gear at home) – to make this fight smooth (eg ice bows, melee and ranged weapons).
Warriors can bring war banner (battle standard) for fast res of the downed.
Careful timing of choice commands make life easier
Boss 1 – Bees : 3 people kite into donught red ring to build honeycomb. Rest to DPS the boss.
Stand on commander on honeycomb when boss goes to back of room – avoid big aoe.
Boss 2- kill flowers get buff, DPS avoid red rings (melee is Good if you know what to do).
Bring reflects / feedback etc.
Go to White box in front of boss when he goes to back of room and DPS like crazy.
Boss 3- DPS boss and kill flowers. Jump on flower when boss at back of room to avoid room aoe.
Keep it short, simple and sweet and people soon get the hang of it.
It won’t be too long and people will be doing this easily.
There should be very few people that will not have got the hang of this in a couple of weeks.
Hopefully this kind of content will encourage more teamwork so people get the hang of doing three headed wormy without TS as its not any more complex than these bosses tbh.
I’d add to prioritize Thrashers in the lanes since they leave stuff which can linger and deal damage. The map I was on didn’t have much problem taking it down . . .
I’ll honestly not be attending the event again now I have my coat box. Map chat was absolutely disgusting when I attended an event not going well, full of insults and rage being thrown at anyone and everyone.

Sounds exactly like Marionette.
