Guild Wars 2

So yea I’m about at my wits end with this. I’m trying to start a community of like minded people. By like minded I’m looking for those who have a great personality, sense of humor, and overall just love to immerse themselves in a fantasy world like GW2. Now because of this idea its lead to me starting a RP guild called Light of Aidan. The core idea of the guild is stated above with us also branching out into all aspects of the game. While doing this our RP is the guild or cult as I call it serving a forgotten God called Aidan. One day Xela (which is my Guardian) hears the forgotten voice of Aidan. He tells her of a time where he was once worshiped. He had temples, cathedrals wars fought in his name ect….all for the grace of the lord Aidan. His Light began to fade with the introduction of the new “gods” (Balthazar, Grenth, Melandru ect……) and he was cast out, forgotten. Surrounded by darkness he needed a voice to pierce through the cold dark (which is me or Xela) so the voice could reach the ears of the worthy hopefuls (which is you). You hopefuls would learn the teachings and life of Aidan. You would spread his influence across the world. You would become his Zealots. Make his Light shine once again.

That was the premise for the guild. But you see I started this a day ago and I realise that such things take time but I haven’t gotten a single PM about anything. It gets worse! I haven’t gotten a single aknowledgment from anyone in maps chats such as silly remarks or “yo thats cool”. Nothing at all……..now this has lead me to believe 2 things. 1.GW2 community is a stail shallow boring community that does not enjoy fun at all in the slightest and is instead an offspring of WoWs horrible community. But for now I’ll keep that held back just in case but it looks rather grim. 2.The server I’m on (Maguuma) is just full of boring players. Whatever the case I’d like some tips. I have tried mixing up my recruiting methods a bit by acting like a preacher or using different tones in my ads like ,serious,sarcastic,comedic ect….but to no avail as I said before. Earlier I did ask for the RP server and I’ll be moving there once I can but I’m trying to give this server a shot but its just not working.

So please tips or anything.

PS(Mods please do not move this to the Guilds sub forums. All thats there are people focused on posting their cliche garbage guild ads and aren’t really going to strike up much of a conversation or of much help at all. They’d rather be like “Yea Guilds are hard to start. I’d recommend you join us and not waste your time” Yea not interested in that dribble drabble.)

So basically everyone who doesn’t likes to RP is a shallow boring player? No surprise you can’t get more people if you have that mindset

Just go the RP server and leave the “offspring of WoWs horrible communit” alone
