I have died over 10,000 times. That deserves a title. Something like “Death Incarnate” or “Legendary Undead” or “Aaarrrggghhh” (Really, the possibilities are endless)

And let’s add some more to the “Slayer” title. (Because 2,000 kills was a long time ago for most pvp’ers)

I got a better title for this achievement – “Legendary Door Mat”.

Perfectly suits the playstyle of covering the floor with your body while the party finishes the boss for you.

20 level 80s and counting.

And you don’t see anything wrong with what that title might make people inclined to do?

You don’t see any potential issue with people afking somewhere to intentionally get killed repeatedly?

Really?

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

And therein lies the problem with many aspects of this game. You reward defending in WvW and players just afk the day away for the achievement while a “friend” taps a gate occasionally. AFK title farming by taking off your armor in Orr and going for a coffee in RL would be the new in thing.

Unfortunately until there is a way to prevent this kind of behavior then it will happen; and many years as a player has taught me that will not happen soon. Why is it, do you think, ANet just gave the supply use achievements to WvW players (may as well give it with the requirements) because players would not only use the supply in keeps and towers to make endless rams, but also repair still being trebbed walls. This behavior grieves the server they are on by using supply better spent elsewhere.

I know you would like new titles, as do many of us, but because they give AP’s the ability to exploit has to be removed before they will have any meaning in the game.

It’s a PvE only title …. oh yes, the possibilities.

“Why Anet are you forcing me to PvE!”
“We can’t do Teq anymore, they all just want to be killed. Anet you ruined the game!”
“P2W – Anet is just pushing revive orb sales!”

Heck, for a title like Aaaaargh I would let myself get killed too lol.

“Whose Kitten is this?” – “It’s a Charr baby.”
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”

A title for being killed is never a good idea.

People will just go to fall off cliffs or something to get it. And if you limit only to PvP or WvW deaths, people will let themselves get killed for it, or get into farming arenas to get killed.

And if you want a title for killing players, there’s “Ultimate Dominator” for completing the Realm Avenger achievement line in WvW, 250.000 players defeated.

Sooo, the idea is to run 5minutes to hills from your borderspawn, get afk behind a gate, than die, and than do it anew? Do you plan to “abuse it” with revive orbs? Really, it does not seem like it is convenient to die at any given point at www unless you enjoy wasting your time.

Make it only for PvE/WvW, and falling off cliffs doesn’t count. If they “farm” it somehow then whatever, because people can trick into getting many achievements, not a big deal considering how things are as of now.

Actually with the afk timer in WvW doing this in WvW would become harder ;however I’m sure there are bots that could pull off what you describe easily. I did not say it was something the average player would attempt in WvW anyways, not when you could just lie dead next to the flavor of the month event in PvE and do it easily while at work. Adding in a small repeating macro to relog if disconnected would be easy enough to create if needed too.
