To all of you not having fun in PvE
Except WvW is crap atm, a zerg ain’t real tactics, and because of scribing maintaining a proper WvW guild is stupid, and i understand you might be lacking funds, but that’s not an issue you should be posting about in these terms.
zerg blob =/= real tactics
first wvw isnt all about the zerg or zerb if you think that you have never really did wvw or you just followed the dude with the tag(boring). i mostly 5 man havoc group(cause our guild is a smaller wvw giuild and we only get around 5 on at a time) and going against a group with superior numbers can be fun especially if you survive and defeat them in their purpose they were trying to accomplish. dont understand why op states you must leave you pve guild you got several guild slots join a wvw guild. ive seen a lot of 5 to 3 7 to 5 fight that were real impressive and im not on tier 1 wvw map
SInce bank guilds or small guilds can no longer gain buffs in WVW, WvW is now broken, and unfair. It’s a shame they had to do something so drastic and destory a game mode so far by locking stuff behind a paywall .
in the end this WvW is no longer the game mode it once was and has reached a point where trying it is just a waste of time.
Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.
Soooo….
-leave PvE guild
-leave PvE zerg
-join WvW guild
-join WvW zerg
I feel like a lot of the “tactics” of wvw were lost when anet changed certain things, like stability and condi changes.
Yes, a small(er) group can easily cap things and defend things against larger forces using good strategies and tactics even now, but a lot of those are avoidance tactics, I don’t play a game to avoid combat.
You can try as hard as you want to, cap all the extra objectives etc, but then a zerg rolls in can takes it all in a fraction of the time you put in…
Leave/untag your PvE guild, find a WvW guild, get on WvW, and fight with real tactics! Don’t complain until you’ve tried it!
I went into WvW with some guildies the other day for the second time. We were half new, half experienced. We were running around having fun. Then one of the big time commanders came in and we joined up to see how it would be. The guy was a kitten. It wasn’t overt, or intentional. The guy just had no tact. Demanding you kept up, didn’t die, do this right now, etc. The bottom line is we were the tools to help him get his Karma train going.
I understand that he wants things done a certain way but the guy needed some people skills. I honestly thought to myself. “If this is what it is like, I will go do something else” I play games for fun and entertainment. I don’t need some inflated ego ordering me around.
In a game mode like WvW that is having a serious problem retaining players and desperately needs new players. Having people like this isn’t going to help. And I am sure there are plenty of commanders out there that aren’t like this and are willing to accept that some players are new and everyone needs to start somewhere. But a first impression like this can seriously hurt the chances that some of those players will ever return to WvW.
Just look up Red Guard GW2 videos and you’ll see the tactics I’m talking about.
