To be sure with Tequatl...
Yeah if you fail he should fly over and eat Queen Jenna.Trahearne.
Only downside is no one would ever get the rewards from him ever again. =/
There is no punishment for failing the dynamic event that wants you to kill Tequatl?
I thought it was okay that Scarlet’s minions didn’t do anything to the zone they were ‘invading’… But we’re talking about a world boss. I’m really hoping the answer isn’t ‘yes’. I hate to be the guy who abuses the manifesto (shaking it around for some spare truth), but this line stuck out to me the first time I ever saw it, and it comes back to me now too:
“In the game world, these horrible centaurs are standing around in a field, and you get a quest step that says ‘Go kill ten centaurs.’”
We don’t think that’s okay.
Didn’t they say there was an area of the map that would essentially fall entirely under undead control if you failed to kill him within the 15 minute timer?
Failing the fight will spawn a whole bunch of exploding fish in the area and I believe the waypoint will stay contested. They can’t exactly close off the entire zone because then players who are doing their own thing like leveling their characters won’t have access to it. I don’t know how they can possibly punish the player for failing. I mean, when you die you already get your armor damaged and you have to pay to take a waypoint.
Oh and if they punish the player by spawning a whole bunch of champion risen in the area, I think certain players will think of that as a reward and actually fail on purpose just to make it happen.
OP – did you watch the video or just decide to mash keys? exploding fish until he returns…
/facepalm
