Just wondering when patch will be and what it contains

News and Announcements tell us that Lord Faren’s Rapier and Chicknado is in the Gem Store. However, the Gem Store has not been updated yet to include those items in game.

LOL. In all seriousness, I would also like to know. That sword looks like it might need to be in my wardrobe.

I have no need for finishers but I might need the Chickenado finisher anyway …

I am unaware of any patch today or any indication of one coming.

New gem store items, but I’m not sure that actually needs a patch.

My personal guess is, no patch today.

on the forum/blog site is already the announcement for todays patch gemstore items and yet the patch is still missing to add the todays gemstore stuff (and hopefully other stuff like SAB) to the game to give us somethign new to do for the next 2 weeks or longer while we wait for HoT

I posted earlier about wishing they wouldn’t put up a notice that something’s in the store when it isn’t in fact in the store.

It looks too much like Bonetti’s Rapier for me to be all that impressed.

well.. im a “rapier fanboy” so stuff like this is always eye catching. Also bonetti´s is rather “bland” if put side by side with that new one. Sure.. matter of taste without a doubt but for me this is a gold mine.

Also bonetti´s is based on a 17th century german rapier while the new one is more spanish 17th century with its cup hilt.

Rapier fanboy too. I like Bonetti’s, but I love some variation too.
Buying it for sure and swinging it like an axe, I don’t care. It does look better than 99% of the other swords on my thief

Bonetti’s Rapier barely even has a guard on it. You must be thinking of the Lovestruck sword .

is there really today some kind of special event over there at ANet for some invited people regarding a HoT Preview that they kind of could have all their attention bonded to that at the moment, that they could forget all others for today??

Its so unusual that they let us wait so long xD and honestly, they could at least say a word about it, when exactly the patch will come, or if it gets postponed to tommorrow cause of whyever ^^

Usually the items are in gem store long before they post any info on site and I have to read it on Dulfy to see info. This is first time I seen them do that in reverse. :P

There needs to be a patch today for gemshop update. Lord Farens rapier and the new finisher.

Rumor is today’s update will remove the Lunar Festival and update the gem store. Also, it’s going to remove those toy golems.

the chinese festival gem store items have 7 days left on them so Im guessing the festival stuff is staying for another 7 days too

Hah! I wouldn’t hold my breath.

I wouldn’t hold my breath either but I’d love to see something like… I don’t know. Maybe some boxes. Fun asuran boxes. Yeah I’d completely asuran boxes. Everyone would love them. It would be even better if those boxes were full of adventures to go on. And if they were 16-bit-ish. Siiigh, one can dream, righ?

Yes, its a bit disappointing considering the last update was already very small with the rereleased dragonball arena and some decorations.

Probably because its not actually related to Dragon Ball or Lunar New Year at all. Its actually been in the game for quite some time IIRC, but it just happened to get a bit more exposure recently.

From what I hear, its something the Chinese client gets for their VIP program. Of which the US / European clients have no analogue. So whether we’ll ever get it, who knows.

Haven’t a clue why they won’t just release SAB the way it was, so many liked it (not me). But it would keep folks occupied. Lunar New Year was meh… Gives me a reason to go back to FF XIV until HOT comes back (aside from logging in once a day to get the rewards.
