Fast day for the daily. All you need to do is complete a game of South Sun Survival or The Bell Choir (make sure you stay in the game until after the last round when the game ends and you’ll get credit).

Farming wood in Kryta. If you exit Lion’s Arch to the north and run down the path to the right, there are plenty of trees right there. Take you 3 minutes max.

Craft an exotic by saving up some luck from pretty much anything you salvage. Any artificer can do it. Even if you don’t have an artificer current. you can make a new one just to combine essences of luck. Alternately you can make your daily ascended crafting and that will count too.

Ten minutes, daily done.

Edit: PvE dailies, I should have mentioned.

You can also exit Lion’s Arch to the south into Bloodtide Coast. It also is part of Kryta and there’s usually at least 3 or 4 trees right outside the portal. EXTREMELY easy. XD

EDIT: If WvW Big Spender was up, you could probably get it done in 5 mins.

There was a player posting the time for the Daily each day a little while ago. I think the shortest time, before he/she stopped posting (or I stopped seeing it) was around 4 minutes. Just something for you to strive for, if you are so inclined. =)

Good luck.

To be honest, I don’t do dailies anymore.

I just don’t feel like doing what they want me to do, I guess I’m too used to being rewarded just for playing the game.

I prefer to craft the “tool sets” needed for the exotic back items when Daily Crafter comes up.

The 2nd-highest level of the tool set requires just 5 T5 refined crafting materials (mithril ingots, elder wood planks, ect), which is both relatively cheap AND something that most people should have lying around at any given time. With the leatherworker set being the cheapest.

Luck is cheaper (by which I mean its essentially free), but you probably need to do a bit of salvaging to get enough unless you have a stockpile of luck you haven’t refined recently.

Your loss. The reward for doing the exotic crafter and nothing else is 3 ectos. Considering you get luck all the time anyway and it’s free its’ three free ectos.

That’s pretty rewarding compared to older dailies.

Yep I’ve been saving a bit of luck on the side for these daily days so I already have it. It’s easy enough to save 4 green lucks or 2 yellow lucks.

I think what the OP is referring to with the ascended crafting is the time-gated refinement such as Lump of Mithrillium, Glob of Elder Spirit Residue, etc.

Mithril and elder wood comes easily and I find that having a stock of the refined materials is never a bad thing

Yep even if you don’t use it, it’s profitable to sell.

Actually, south was what I meant, not north. Thanks for that. I should know better than to post when I’m this sleepy. lol

Or join a hotjoin arena in pvp with one of the daily classes and get the daily done in one game which is usually less than 15 minutes.

Exactly… and while some categories are now missing or certain objectives are a bit too specific (like profession-winner), dailies both past and present require you to do tasks that Anet tell you to do.

I notice no difference; I login and play some PvP and by the time a match or two is over I’m either 2/3 or done with dailies. I assume it’s the same in WvW, and I can easily complement from PvE dailies with vista viewer, miner/logger/forager, crafter.

10 APs for something that completes naturally as I play within 30 minutes… in many ways better than before where I’d get 1 per daily and there’d always be some I didn’t want to do.

The dailies are fast everyday not just today, the new system was revamped and completely designed for the casual player, hence why they really take no longer than 10 mins to complete on the average day, I know the odd random day will have kill jormag, but as the game stands its not worth doing that one, that’s when you normally see WvW big spender.
