Just wondering what all expectations everyone has for today.

I expect that I’ll be asleep when the patch hits, just like the previous one :’)

So nothing more than a regular day at the office, unfortunately.

Well, we know that they are gating guild missions slightly by placing the first mission in art of war 5. Forcing my guild to quickly buy 30k influence and train it up, waiting another week for it all.

However, my expectations are:
-More interesting dailys/selectable dailys
-AC bosses revamped
-Vets,Champ loots fixed
-jumping puzzles actually rewarding(kind of just hoping…fun to do, but pointless. No reward).

We’ll see how these guild missions are. Kind of make or break for me at this point

But in the end, there is no way that ANet could ever deliver what they have promised. To be more realistic, I expect some PvE fixes, together with some fluff stuff like most of the guild content. After one month of living story (not much living in this story though), we hopefully get some more stuff to do than 45min worth of clicking things…

Yes I know. I’ve gotten a few. But still its a huge waste of time. I dont want to see blues and greens..those medallions that take up space that I end up vendoring anyways.

I agree. First night it was fun to see what was going on with the living story. Clickity click, an hour later Im done. And I haven’t cared to check in on whats going on. This dragged out a bit too long for the next phase. I really hope the next phase lasts longer than an hour.

I’m not expecting much; a small change to WvW; a minor addition to the living story. Not sure what the guild missions will do since all my pve is pugged so I probably won’t be participating in guild missions.

Are they going to be putting out more information about new types of legendaries today? I keep hearing guildies talk about it.

They never said that there would be anything new concerning legendaries in this update afaik. The only talk about them recently was that “somewhere along the road”, new weapon types would of course get new legendaries and they would like to do something like the process for eternity for other weapons too, but certainly not in this update.

- Hopefully interesting new guild content.
- Meaningless skill balancing.
- More fluff to other legendary weapons, I’m 100% sure Anet realized the $$$ lies in the legends by now.
- New map overhaul.
- More PvE vs WvW items restrictions.
- Bug fixes.
- New loot table for certain enemies.
- Living story 2nd click quest.

That’s about it.

Guild Missions – my guild has tons of influence ready to spend, we are going to hit this hard
New PvP map with capture the flag – yesssssss!
Preview function on the Trading Post – I’m waiting for the TP to explode and alllll those skins people can finally see rocketing up in price.

Also I’m ready for features.

Ive set my expectations low on purpose, that way I wont be as dissapointed if things dont turn out as well, or overjoyed if they do turn out great!

I expect a meaningful addition to the Living Story. It will be half over after this patch, so it better start getting good.

I expect the Guild Missions to be okay, but not great. I can’t see the personal rewards being unique.

Changes to AC will be cool I’m sure, but an update like this is geared towards future players or players who need something from it.

I am interested in the sPvP map. CTF is my favorite!

I’m more interested in what they haven’t told us. Balance changes, surprise additions, etc.

Expect the worst, hope for the best. We already have a standard rundown of what to expect, like to see a long list again of extra stuff like the previous patch, and more to do with the Flame and Frost living story. I know it was designed to slowly evolve so everyone has time to participate, but everyone I know buzzed through it in fifteen minutes for the title and karma item and still have no idea what was going on around them.

Achievement bug fixed.
Drop rates fixed with Solo or Support penalty removed.

Continuation of Flame and Frost Story.

Expecting some class tweaks (Hoping my Necro gets some Love)

I will be sporadically looking about for changes to the living story. I don’t have a big guild, mostly irl friends, so it’s all story and PvE for me! =)

I expect loot tables to be “fixed” for about an hour, maybe two hours, then arenanet will realize it’s too good and have to restart the servers. Just in time for me to get off work :O.

I’m not really sure what to expect. I wasn’t around for the first living story update so it’s all kind of new to me now.

I expect significant improvements to the Ranger class.

So with just today and March update to come and then recall what Moria gave to LOTRO or Burning Crusade to WoW we can anticipate a huge amount of new content, features and mechanics.

Total fiasco, this will be a running gag for ever in GW2…

Well, they could always bring out content similar to Lost Shores and call it a ‘low budget’ expansion’s worth.

Im hopeing they at least fix the class balance and the champion loot drop issue.

Fixing the condidtion stack limit would be a good idea to.

Here’s an expectation that’ll probably be met.

I expect people to complain about the time of day the patch is released, complain that it’s already feb 27th in their time zone, complain that they took today off from work to play and the patch isn’t even out yet, and every other complaint that we’ve heard every patch day since the game was released. (Sometimes from the same people too, that haven’t picked up on the pattern yet)

hopefully a nerf to thieves -_-

I’m expecting to be able to fix my Sylvari’s glow, which has been broken by the bug in the Total Makeover Kit. That’s all I really care about.

50 silver + 100% for 2 rare or better items and guild merits when finishing a guild mission? Oh yeah!

Also, then new PVP map, some class balance, and the AC revamp should be cool.

I expect to be disappointed when seeing next to zero profession balance changes. I’m looking forward to all the content, though.

Considering the “small” January update (which was huge) I’m looking forward to another wall of text of patch notes critting me for 1337 damage. Sadly, my glass cannon does not survive the balance notes.

No matter how good the patch will be, there will be an outrage. Even if they were to implement Cantha, remove Ascended and add 50 new skills per profession, people would still complain.

Of course it depends on when Anets Q1 starts. Is it calendar? Is it Business? And, if it is Business when does their Fiscal year start? Could be January-March or February-April or March-May. Hell some companies Fiscal year starts in April. And is it their Fiscal year or NC Soft’s?

Except that the “expansion worth of content in Q1” message was directed towards consumers. When you speak to a consumer, you use calendar. Fiscal is reserved for the business.

I expect most guild players to disappear from the game. They’ll be on guild missions. Those of us who pug will not be having fun.

I fully expect the forums to be more fun than any new content released today.

I hope for bugfixes in loot tables, but i’m expecting more bugs and less loot

I hope for more varried WvW play, but i’m expecting an inflow of disillusiond pve players who feel themselfs forced info wvw.

I hoped for new content, but with the insane 50k+ aow5 influence requirements i expect never to be able to do it, or beforced to kill of my small guild of friends

Maby the living story will add new content avaiable to me, but i expect more grind

I hope for fixes and tweaks to make some professions more viable to play, but i dont expect anything here.

I hope the real release will proof my expectation wrong and feed my hopes instead.

If not I can still play the game and content that is currently already in the game.

I’ve been hoping for some new ascended gear, or at least the ability to infuse amulets, or salvage ascended rings, but…

I haven’t heard a whisper of it from the devs, so it’s just random speculation/hope.

Was also thinking they might add some new stuff to the gem store. It’s been a monthly occurrence with the big updates lately, but who knows, maybe they’ll skip it this month.

it seems like ascended earning are coming this update, from guild missions. look at the previews you can see new ascened items

To be honest I don’t expect to much. As a WvW-man these PVE-Guild Missions won’t really be for me, I guess.
I just hope these guild missions won’t be the sole way of acquiring the new ascended jewellery I believe to have seen on the preview

What I expect: bunch of more stuff that doesn’t interest me in the least

What I hope (funny how I still have hope for this game): that guild missions will be awesome and challenging
