Where in the world did you get the notion I’m talking about gold? You can gain in more ways than gold, gain friends for example. In this case I’m taking about gaining (increasing) the amount of influence. The game is going to remove the ability to gain (increase) influence. If you can’t increase your guilds influence then the tome won’t work as it adds influence to the guild.

I still wasn’t talking about the gold value so that 1000 cost 2 gold comment is completely irrelevant. I was talking about the part of the post where they said there will be no more NEW influence. If a guild can not gain influence then the tome will not work when the expansion arrives.
