A big argument for this game is risk vs reward.

Easy content gives almost equal or better reward compared to hard content’s reward. The drastic thing for Anet to do is nerf the rewards for the easy content. (and thousands of people would immediately quit the game.)

Another easier way is to buff the rewards for hard content or 5 man instanced content. (this will also make thousands quit).

Anet can’t please anyone. The player base is so split between the elitists and the carebears(sorry , don’t know a more respectful word for players who like to only do easy stuff , casuals does not equal carebear IMO) Of course casuals aren’t going to be able to do lengthy content, that is why they are casuals.

What can Anet do to make compromise? A lot of people like to come on here and complain or say “this or that sucks” , but no one is really saying why or how it could be better.

This leads to Anet having to decide on their own and making more mistakes. Constructive feedback is lacking here.

And all players are paying for those few that likes this form of free pvp.

GW2 balance:
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

And all players are paying for those few that likes this form of free pvp.

And you have no one to blame but yourself and the playerbase.

If everyone worked the TP profit would be minimal. But people who play the TP play on players who lack foresight, patience and more than likely risk averse.

And that’s not a bad thing.

I have absolutely no luck with TP… I’ve tried, I’ve even looked up ‘how to’ guides and I still fail, epicly. I think I need to find someone to give me a crash course in it, and smack me when I’m being dumb.

(On the flip side, I’m a terrible sales person too. So maybe it’s just not in my nature)

I agree. I’ll also say that most attempts to fix rewards have been clumsy, much like putting a square plaster over a round hole. For example, all content was designed before champions have loot bags, so with champion loot bags the content rewards are no longer balanced (even if the champion reward is balanced).

I’m not sure what the solutions are since the scaling of open participation events is core to the game. The design principle allows any number of people to participate in killing a mob (or finishing an event) for a full share of the reward. It’s a great idea as it stops players spoiling and griefing. However as the number of participating players increases the rewards for time spent will change, and players will continually organize themselves to maximize rewards.

TP dont generat gold but makes some go away.
because of this the people getting rich on the tp is doing nothing but makeing gold change hands and the people getting rich are the people with pations nothing more.

Game’s been around for over a year if someone’s still here than they’re not going to quit. They may jump at the next best thing but EQNext is a long ways away.

Personally, I’ve hated the last few updates but I’m not going to throw a fit over it and uninstall. No matter how much content they throw in the game that makes me rage, it’s still the best game on the market.

So macroeconomy is fine….

While for non tp flppers economy BREAKS the game as the WORST mmorpg around.

In the end who cares if economy is fine for 0.0000000001% of players while being BAD for any other?

I know speculators fins Always some excuses to justify themselves….yet they are bad for the game and for most players….
I doubt inflation would affect prices more than speculators.

Ethic gold sinks that doens t ruin the game:
TP, armor repairs, food, Soulbound etc

Unethic gold sinks that affects prices in a bad way:
TP speculation.

Its clear that normal players pay all taxes of selling, buying and speculators profit.

That makes it comparable from a 35 to 2000% inflation in gold value.
