too many obsidian shards and not enough uses. I have maybe 5000 obsidian shards and nothing to do with them. i already have all the legendary’s i want. I cant even sell these things to the vendor.

The most you could do is sell them to newer guilds as they’re used for upgrades. Just remember that such transactions are unsupported by Anet.

Then delete them.

There are a variety of uses for obby shards, just none that appeal to you. That’s what happens with account-bound currencies/mats.

Personally, I’d use them to make Fulgurite — jeweled patches and dowels command a huge premium over the component mats and also their unjeweled counterparts.
