I thought you implemented these collections so the precursors wouldn’t be stuck being gold and RNG. If this were true, why the HELL are most of the collection items RNG based?!

I have started crafting spark. I have spent the last 2 HOURS going map to map mining iron to get ONE piece of Nickel ore. The other special ores didn’t even take a quarter of that! This is only the first TIER. It doesn’t help that the “hints” you give us are extremely vague. Such as: “Get a sample of material the dredge use to make their buildings.”

Okay..do I get it from a drop? Is it an item on the ground? What DO the dredge use for their buildings?

This started off extremely fun. But it gets tedious, FAST.

Where do you go to start this RNG grind to replace the old RNG grind?

And this is why I’m going to wait for a guide. I wouldn’t have the faintest clue as to what dredge use for buildings, other than the ones I’ve seen are made of wood, not iron.

Or you could skip the RNG entirely and buy a Spark from one of us.

Sounds better than mine and if that’s the First tier of Zap I’ll gladly trade you the first tier of Chaos Gun.

You have RNG but with Quip your relying on other people cause you need to peg not only world bosses but a fractal bosses with pheromones. Also eating candy corn till you throw up in fractals. I really don’t see why they have to force fractals in pre crafting. Not like you can pull up a specific fractal but you apparently need to do specific specific to complete the crafting. In this single fractal world we live in now people do the daily and leave let alone do the higher ups. I played WvW and was specced with WvW infusions I don’t have agony and some of those bosses the pugs imply don’t do.

This is ANet we’re talking about. Did you honestly believe that they would do anything but RNG or time gate it?

Wait so how longs the expansion been up? And you are expecting to get the precursor today? Its not a get a free precursor card, its a long journey to get it. The feature has hardly been in the game yet you are whining about it, seriously grow up. Instead of living life just for a legendary, why don’t you actually play the game or did you spend $50 to expect a free precursor with the expansion?

“what dredge use for building” seems like a terrible hint since dredges seems to dig out rocks rather than build … on the other hand there is a bunch of different kind of dredge ore all over the place

I always thought, since that there’s so few, it would be nice to have a special quest or jumping puzzle for each weapon. If you want that weapon, you have to go to great lengths to get it…. Not just keep playing until RNGezus favors you.

The simplest solution is they want money. More and more money. They introduced precursor crafting like they were finally giving us what they promised but internally their data showed they wouldn’t make enough money selling GEMS, so we bought snake oil.

L2Read before condemning. The OP clearly stated the issue with the mastery is “RNG” (I’ll also explain that RNG stands for random number generator since you might not know that either). Pre crafting was supposed to be RNG free.

precursor crafting’s whole purpose to exist was because the precursor rng grind was too insane already

anet breaking promises and screwing with player’s trust why is it even surprising anymore.
