Q:
Too slow auction house
A:
The Trading Post appears to function like a “browser” within the game. Assets are not cached or cached differently from other game assets; for example, just clicking on the currency exchange tab takes time to load even though certain things like the image of a gold coin / gem or the box around the graph would practically never change.
So no, there’s nothing wrong with your game in particular. Every action in the TP will be noticeably slower than, say, using a skill or opening your inventory.
There are a lot of purchases going on at once, the trading post has to check that the price it has shown you for an item is still available – as in someone else hasn’t purchased all of the item at the quantity and price you were shown. So yeah it takes a second for the transaction to go through, but it’s really not a bit deal. You are literally complaining about something that takes two seconds being slow >.>
And when I click next on auction house I need to wait 1 second.
Why is it so slow ?

That’s not the reason why it is slow.
The real reason why it is slow is because it is an in-built web browser loading up the page.
Some thing that annoys the hell out of me and I don’t get why they just didn’t use the game client instead.
Cant checking be made faster ? I didnt notice slow auction house in other online games.
My guess is that they’re using Chrome engine. Lazy but rather simple approach.

Probably since all items from both NA and EU servers are pooled in the AH they use the browser to communicate between the stacks.
I think a lot of the TP “lag” is actually intentional throttling to annoy/confound people’s TP scripts. It’s way too predictable to be just lags or bugs.
To make a humorous observation: don’t you guys think its funny that people nowadays can say things like “And when I click next on auction house I need to wait 1 second. Why is it so slow ?”
Seriously. We consider 1 second “so slow”. ONE second. Times….they are a-changin’
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
The TP took a hit about a week ago after a patch. No idea what or why, but since that point it’s been annoyingly slower than it was previously.

Nah, it’s slow even to bring up the gem store. And you know they wouldn’t intentionally do that…
In all seriousness it’s been very sluggish recently.
