I find total makeover kits really make or break. My character can look great in the makeover window and then when I apply it in game it looks terrible (Asura) I’ve had to burn through gems to rectify these horrible faces.

Why can’t we have a 10 second in game preview of our character before finalising the change?

Am I the only one that finds this?

Totaly agree. This issue is on hair style kit too. (Faced this problem on human female)

Glad it’s not just my race. I’ve asked for a refund on the kits but we’ll see what happens.

I’m not really following you here. The makeover window when you choose make changes and how your character looks afterward are the exact same look, that the point of the kit. Me personally I put my final armor plans on my character with trans charges then use the makeover to view how their finished look will be and click select. I’ve never experienced any problem with this or heard of anyone else with one personally.

There are some differences you’ll come to with kit-lighting v. practical lighting which can make a big difference in how you look.

I also often make my selections with the kit, then back out of the choice and try to ‘guess’ what armor/dye I want to complete the look. Then I have to re-open the kit see if it works … repeat.
It would be nice if you could change armor / dye while in the total makeover kit.

What he said, it’s not exactly the same, at all.

I was disappointed with the initial character creation in the game for the same reason. IMHO the best way to handle this is:

1) When you initially make your character, for 24 hours you can hop back into the appearance editor and make changes.

2) When you use a total makeover kit, it gives you another 24 hours to enter the appearance editor and make changes.

This does have the drawback in that you can’t keep a hairstyle or makeover kit in the bank to “preview” what the new hairstyles are. But that could be made unnecessary by allowing anyone to enter the appearance editor at any time. Just make it so finalizing the changes consumes the kit (like with armor and weapon transmutation), and consuming the kit kicks off a 24 hour timer where a kit is no longer needed to make further changes.

Yeah, I totally agree.

I used a lot of kits to get my human female’s face right and now I intend to just copy those settings for each new human female I make.

Also, I tried a different face type once and while it looked good in high def, it looked really weird in low def (the nose had a really wide septum, for some unknown reason and looked more like a pig’s snout!).

Another thing that would be good is a “copy existing character look” option, so you could just duplicate the look of an existing character for new ones.

Would save a lot of time.

I agree, give us some final confirmation after you changed to your new look outside of the preview window. Like when you change resolution on your computer.
