While we are at it let’s let people inflate their heads like Charlie Brown characters.

My Asura is already pretty close :P
Anet, these are some good, attractive clothing designs. Any chance of getting more armor designs like this? (I’m not really into “town clothes.” )
And btw… thank you for the havesting sickle! Got it the first day you made it available. Create the axe and it’ll be an instant seller too! I’ll have the whole set!
Thank you!
IMO the whole town cloths limit need needs to go away. It was a limit created early on and I suspect the vision for the game then and where its going now are not exactly the same, but that’s just MMOs for ya. NCSoft definitely knows the value of fluff on gear from their other games so I think it would be a win, win and boost gem sales for the company. I say if people want to fight dragons in panda hats then let them.
town cloths are pretty nice, I would like to see what your suggesting
This topic comes up time and time again after awhile and it’s good that it does so that it still warrents attention. I’d buy SO much gems just for town clothes to be used in combat. It’s a huge missed money opportunity for anet I don’t understand.
Till then I’d never consider buying them. If we can have longbows that shoot unicorns and rainbows we should be able to wear town clothes in combat too.
Anet claims they don’t want things like town clothes in combat because it would be immersion breaking, which is very against their design aesthetics. But then they go and do stupid stuff like in combat quaggan backpacks and bows that shoot unicorns.
I would be fine with in combat town clothes or whatever other out-of-lore items they want to add if they would just add an RP mode in to the game! Seriously, one little menu option that would hide anything non-conducive to an RPing environment and viola! They can add whatever they want, the people who don’t care about immersion can have their gear, and the people who do don’t have to see it.
Normally I’d be somewhat opposed to this on the grounds that it could look stupid, but honestly, people can wear the clothes wherever they want already, and if it’s going to look stupid against the Shatterer, it’s going to looks stupid in town too (or 50 feet away from the Shatterer dancing on a rock), so why not?
It’d also be grand, as it’d allow me to play a medium/heavy-armour class and not get stuck looking horrible.
A shame fun things could not simply be fun.
