Town clothes missing
Go to an NPC named Black Lion Trader [Armorsmith], talk to him or her, and get converted versions of your old stuff. No profit.
I did that, as I stated in my original post. I got nothing.
You’ll only unlock the items if you kept the items, and you log onto the character with the items (or they were in your bank).
You only go to the BL trader [Armorsmith] for receiving tonics – which would be the things you purchased in most cases; the baseball cap would go straight to being unlocked in your wardrobe.
Again, you need to have actually have the item, not “once had the item” or the like. And you need to log onto the character that had the item.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Thanks for the clarification but I am certain the town clothes I seek were equipped, never removed or discarded, and I am on the correct character. I guess submitting a ticket is my only recourse.
Have you perhaps checked your inventory? The cap is converted into a helmet skin item, the individual town cloth pieces to tonics, and certain town clothes to outfits.
Checked every inventory slot on all characters and vault. Only received tunic pieces, no caps. Missing the launch special edition baseball cap and the cooking cap.
I must say the fact that these items now consume a bag slot instead of dedicated town clothes equipment slots just screams buy more vault and bag slots $_$. Despicable.
If by “cooking cap” you mean the cap from the chef’s outfit, then that’s part of the outfit now and not a separate item.
Either way, good luck getting your ball cap back.
