Kind of wondering,
How am i supposed to look up for stuff on trade post by half of it’s name , let’s say i’m searching for Box of Berserker’s Draconic Armor and enter " box of berserker’s " to not type the whole name, because reasons..
Then i would of course like to sort them by price to not scroll down through lower-level gear boxes. And this is the part, where dog is burried – why after sorting by price, i get potions, i get some weird weapons and by just searching for box of berserker’s i get " carrion legionaire horn of rage " as my search result?!
Am i doing something wrong or this is the one big bug trade post has?

EDIT: figures, these gear boxes do not have any level requirement… but still the part of getting lame extra results is there….

Searching uses a text based or, so when you search for box of you’re going to get anything with those two words in it, sorted by how many matched. You will want to drop common words from your searches.

If you want to search for armor boxes:
Rarity (gear icon): exotic
Category: Other > Packaged Goods
Search: ar

the text search will return all matches with any of the words you search for in it. for “carrion legionaire horn of rage”, it has “of” in it.
when you first search for it, the TP will sort it by relevance. So if it finds an item with all of the words you searched for, it puts that first. items with 2 of the 3 words go next, then items with 1 of the 3 words. when you sort by price, it sorts by price instead of relevance, which is why the 1-of-3 items come first (before they happen to be cheaper)

Oh, thank you for making it clear, i was thinking that it would search for every single word separately. Thought that it was some kind of a horrible “bug” but now it makes sense. Just tried searching “Legend” and “The Legend” first search gives only 1 result, second gives pretty much everything that has “The” and lists lower, as Mystic stated it.
Tho why would it cut “the” from the middle of the word..
Anyway, for me issue is solved. Feel free to do whatever with this topic, moderators.

I haven’t tried it, but do quotes work on the TP search?
like, it you search for “The Legend”, would it return only The Legend?
if I remember, I’ll try that tonight
